Door County ,WI based “Spike and April” perform a varied mix of music for all occasions like parties, house concerts,Tiki bars,gastropubs,beach dances, night clubs, vineyards, brew pubs and restaurants. They cover jazz, americana, folk, blues, classic rock, modern country, Texas swing and their own quirky/fun original songs. Mike (Spike) Judy on guitar/vocals and April Pate on vocals/percussion can provide the perfect mood and feeling for any gathering. Many decades of performance experience afford them the musical flexibility to do just that.

John Sieger has been up to his ears in music his whole life. As a songwriter, he’s written or co-written songs recorded by many artists, including Dwight Yoakam, Robbie Fulks, Flaco Jimenez and The BoDeans.

These days he sings and plays guitar in three bands – Semi-Twang, The R&B Cadets, and The Subcontinentals – at clubs, festivals and parties throughout the upper midwest.

Sieger on Songs, is his weekly column for Urban Milwaukee, where he hops inside songs he loves and tries to show the hidden machinery that makes them work. John is also a contributor to Lake Effect on WUWM, sharing songs and special guests on The Monthly Beatdown.

When he’s not performing and writing, he offers songwriting workshops and guitar lessons. His pet projects, Milwaukee Gospel Jubileeand Gospel Brunch at Colectivo, benefit Progressive Community Health Centers, where he is an active board member.
