Once upon a time, three music nerds became best friends in college and formed Violet Wilder – a genre-bending group that explores sounds of alternative indie, rock & roll, and folk. VW’s compositions incorporate piano, viola, acoustic & electric guitar, miscellaneous percussion, and (last but NOT least) sumptuous 3-part harmony. Sometimes they write unconventional melodies & harmonies, and sometimes they take you on a sonic journey. Whatever happens, they aim to keep you listening.
Lakewaves Trio is a Madison-centric, groove-based jazz/rock trio that crafts celestial originals (and spontaneously composes) using an eclectic, progressive, soundscape-y, instrumentalism.
Led by Graham Marlowe, a Wisconsin-based keyboardist/pianist and instrumental solo artist (Lakewaves), they specialize in jazz, rock, ambient & space music.
Tlalok is a bilingual singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Originally a Chicago native, he comes from a long line of musicians dating back to his great-grandfather who was a composer from Vicente Guerrero, Mexico. A century later he keeps the family tradition alive through boleros, bossa novas, and vibrant performances channeling the passion of his ancestors.
Acoustic Duo Feather & Stone will open the night, playing it’s first live show!
