Georgia & Maria is a collaboration project between artists Georgia English and Maria Carelli. Weaving together the tangled roots of American music, Georgia & Maria pay homage to tradition while committing to a true, contemporary female voice. With tight, smoky harmonies, and shredding lead guitar lines, their sets include original music and tasteful covers ranging from The Mills Brothers deep cuts to Gillian Welch. The duo met in January 2018 at the Tropic of Cancer Concert Series in Todos Santos, Mexico. Linked by a love for traditional music, and cutting true lyrics, the two knew they needed to collaborate. Opening the show will be veteran Milwaukee musician Eston Bennett, and local favorites Lady Cannon.
