Dave Begel turned 70 and forced guests and friends to sit still and listen to him play and sing (kind of)\, alone on stage for the first time. Now\, turning 75\, he will attempt\, against all odds\, to repeat that wonderful evening. The best part of the night\, as it was five years ago\, comes in the second set when musicians like the famed Sieger clan\, John\, Mike and Sam lead a jam session with such well known players and singers as the greatest left handed white bass player\, Mike Juley (Rebecca and the Grey Notes)\, David Copnall (either played at or walked past the Cavern Club)\, Jim Linneman (himself) who had a bar named after him\, and many others. Special invitations have been delivered to a who’s who of artists including Ray Charles\, Tom Petty\, Prince\, Luciano Pavarotti\, Kurt Cobain\, Janis Joplin\, Ritchie Valens\,Hildegarde\, and Dean Martin. Starting in the 1960’s Fred founded such renowned bands as Freddie & the Freeloaders\, Hound Dog Band\, Jelly\, and Freddy & the Blifftones. Fred recorded two albums on major labels\, and charted several hits nationally. He is also President & CEO of Bliffert Lumber Company. Fred has collaborated with\, and had several albums produced by the legendary Al Kooper – co-founder of Blood\, Sweat and Tears and the man who famously created and recorded the organ part on Bob Dylan’s seminal “Like a Rolling Stone.” Backing Fred’s amazingly soulful voice and driving rhythm guitar is a band cast with longtime\, well-known\, skilled Milwaukee veterans!

DESCRIPTION:Lil’ Rev grew up in a musical family with a Mom who loved to sing Broadway and grandparents who sang and played piano and harmonica. He purchased his first guitar at the age of 12 with his paper route money and set about learning chords and songs off of his favorite records. Guitar was followed by Harmonica\, Mandolin\, and later Banjo. \nAt about 25 years\, he was given an old beat up Wendell Hall Banjo Ukulele and likewise\, voraciously set about the task of learning how to master this humble little instrument so imbued with tradition and style. \nWhile he is hopelessly Midwestern\, his frequent travels find him teaching and touring all over the continental United States. Lisa has played with Sigmund Snopek at various local gigs and festivals including St. Patrick’s Day Irish music sets\, Locust Street Days and Summerfest. Lisa has also sat in as backing vocalist with West of East and Chris DeMay. \nAfter performing her songs as a solo artist for a few years\, Lisa decided to expand her sound with a backing band\, The Fainting Room. It was a very wise choice…… –  Ricky Ganiere is a dynamic songwriter who excels as both a singer and guitar player!

DESCRIPTION:Dan Rodriguez\, an artist based out of Minneapolis\, MN\, is creating quite a buzz in the Midwest. The groove-based\, bluesy over-toned sound of his music\, mixed with his powerful\, yet seductive voice creates an atmosphere different from other music. It’s refreshing\, tantalizing\, and just plain good! \nOriginally from Detroit\, MI\, Dan moved to Minneapolis in 2004 to pursue music. He started a band with his brother\, Andre Rodriguez\, and called it The Auburns. They played locally for a couple of years and grew together as a band\, as brothers\, and as musicians. \nIn January\, 2008\, Dan started a self-titled solo project in the Twin Cities. Promoting his band as a trio\, Dan started playing venues in the local music scene. As things began to go well\, a greater demand for Dan’s music rose high enough to inspire him to record an album. \nJune 13th\, 2008\, the album Unreal was released in Minneapolis\, followed by a self-titled EP in 2011. His next album\, Roaring Dan\, was released in the Summer of 2013. \nIn September 2014 Budweiser released their “Friends Are Waiting” commercial featuring Dan’s performance of his original song “When You Come Home\,” which was written for the commercial and pitched through Minneapolis based company In The Groove Music. \nThe Summer of 2015 marks the release of Dan’s most prolific\, and widely distributed album “Come on Home\,” featuring the Budweiser song “Friends are Waiting” and singles “Rum River” and “California.” \nDan has since been playing locally and touring throughout the Midwest and beyond\, and sharing the stage with national acts including Grammy award winning duo The Civil Wars\, Pete Francis (Dispatch)\, NeedtoBreathe\, Augustana\, Tyrone Wells\, John McLaughlin\, Andy Grammer and Eric Hutchinson. \n“I’ve been in this business a long time. DESCRIPTION:A stylistically diverse rock band from day one\, the members of Modern Joey have been pulling from a plethora of musical influences since their first rehearsal together. Relatively new to the Milwaukee scene and also still quite young\, they have come from a variety of former bands and possess a surprising level of musical knowledge for their age.  \nSeeking to be a song-oriented band\, Modern Joey puts effort into every aspect of their music\, specifically the categories of lyric writing and tight\, polished live performance. With many influences from the jam band scene as well as from prog rock\, they are no strangers to playing longer sets that also keep an audience engaged for an extended period. With three members of the band being competent vocalists\, 3-part harmony singing is an important aspect of their music which separates them from the herd. \nAt a Modern Joey show\, you will hear funky songs\, you will hear soulful songs; you will hear ballads and rockers; you just might hear sleazy rock and roll alongside a time signature you can’t place. It is that variety which all members of Modern Joey pride themselves on\, and that variety that keeps all ears satisfied. \n\nWonderful Bluffer is a progressive blues rock and soul influenced band formed in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin.
