DESCRIPTION:The “Another One” Grateful Dead Tribute internet stream scheduled for tonight – Friday\, March 27th – has been postponed. On Tuesday 3/24 Governor Evers updated Wisconsin’s “Safe in Place” order to even tighter restrictions to ward off the Pandemic. Because of the new restrictions\, tonight’s internet stream of “Another One” has been postponed! Both the band and Linneman’s felt a 6-person band was now beyond what is allowed under the new restrictions. “Another One” will reschedule as soon as time allows. Sorry to disappoint\, but let’s all stay safe! \nAnother One is a unique and intimate musical experience\, with a Grateful Dead like atmosphere. The group is comprised of talented Milwaukee and Madison musicians\, who came together for their love of the Grateful Dead’s catalog. This group features members of Coyote\, Chicken Wire Empire\, The Jack Reed Group\, Dinosaur Rocket\, and Conscious Congress!

Join us!\nStream here: Facebook.com/Linnemans-Riverwest-Inn-116315658393812\nDonate: fundrazr.com/CarpeCoffers \nBill Camplin is a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist who began playing professionally in the Milwaukee Area in the late 1960’s. Bill writes and arranges his own material and has produced a considerable body of work. Bill was an integral part of the Milwaukee acoustic folk scene for many years and appeared regularly at various clubs including the Blue River Café\, Numero Unos\, The Crystal Palace\, The Avante Garde and the 19th Street Coffee House. \nBand Members\nJASON KLAGSTAD – Guitars\, backing vocals – Jason is considered one of the top live and studio musicians in the Milwaukee area and has been playing professionally for over 45 years. \nHe has been a member of several area and nationally known bands\, including stints with Howie Epstein (Tom Petty)\, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads)\, Arroyo\, Color Radio\, Warner Bros. recording artist\, Semi-Twang\, Bill Camplin (since 1974) and the local rock band favorite\, Plumb Loco. His distinctive guitar playing style has been featured on many recordings. With Peter Buffet for example\, he recorded film\, tv and recording projects\, appearing on 3 Buffett albums and the soundtrack for the Kevin Costner television special\, 500 Nations. During his performing/recording career\, Jason also ran several area music stores\, including his own – Big Music\, a specialty music instrument store\, until the mid1990’s. \nBOB ‘HOT DOG’ MUELLER – drums\, stoicism – Forty-plus years on the SE Wisconsin music scene. A couple of friends needed a bass player and Paul\, always the organizer\, agreed. From 1974 – 1982 Paul co-founded and played with both RIO and Arroyo\, two of the region’s seminal Country Rock bands. His early immersion in that genre provided a deep connection with Bill Camplin’s material. \nAfter his four year stint with Arroyo he became one of region’s top studio engineers\, typically working out of Waukesha’s Breezeway studios producing albums for many regional and national Artists. During this time he also played for many years with local cover rock band\, Plumb Loco. Today\, Paul is a property manager and lives in Elm Grove with his wife Jane.

SUMMARY:March 6\, 2020
DESCRIPTION:The Mod Violets’ self-titled CD brims with sharp-angled\, guitar-driven melodies and reflective lyrics veiled in an aura of psychedelia. The band name signals an era—could The Mod Violets have been a group from mid-’60s London\, tinted with Edwardian nostalgia? At moments they sort of sound that way. At others\, the precise origins of their music are more allusive. \nThe Mod Violets are a reunion for Mark Lonteen (rhythm guitar\, vocals) and Mike Hartwig (lead guitar\, vocals). After playing together in the ’60s-pop influenced Loons\, they parted ways in the ’90s and eventually went silent. Lonteen and Hartwig regrouped in 2018 to write and record. Their first new song\, “Because She Could\,” is the least characteristic of the album—it could be a lost number from Buddy Holly’s catalogue—but lends a note of contrast to the otherwise yearning harmonies and minor keys. – David Luhrssen \nSilk Torpedo is a trashy glitter proto-punk rock & roll band featuring the work of 1970s artists such as T Rex\, Mott the Hoople\, Bowie\, New York Dolls\, the Stooges\, Aerosmith\, Slade\, Sweet\, and others.

DESCRIPTION:The Tritonics are Jeff Stehr\, Dave Bolyard\, Glenn Asch\, Kyle Seifert\, Mike Lizzo and Peter Roller. They write\, arrange and perform original music written in the Jamaican roots styles of rock steady\, ska and reggae. They also cover crucial standards of those genres by artists like Alton Ellis\, Delroy Wilson\, Toots and the Maytalls\, The Heptones\, Johnny Clarke\, The Valentines and The Jamaicans. In addition\, The Tritonics apply a unique process they’ve dubbed “doowopification” to rock n roll classics by The Beatles\, The Rolling Stones\, The Kinks and many others. Doowopification reinterprets and revitalizes (Ital-izes!) classic rock standards\, anointing them in the name of Jah with stripped down\, Jamaican roots-style arrangements\, one drop-centered rhythm and harmony-heavy vocals. \nThe Tritonics are committed to keeping the citizenry drinking\, dancing and well informed through song. \nDan Schwartz is a Minneapolis musician who makes soulful music on the harp guitar and lap steel.

DESCRIPTION:Joy Funk outfit CBDB and eclectic jam rock group Kendall Street Company bring their Winter Tour to Milwaukee’s Linneman’s Riverwest Inn on March 3rd! \nDoors: 8:00; Show: 9:00; 21+ \nAdvance Ticket link:  https://www.ticketweb.com/event/cbdb-kendall-street-company-linnemans-riverwest-inn-tickets/10090555?fbclid=IwAR3kKBACwTGeRPYmuK7IpGnYCe464dB6MmW496Yym1P8cH-E4eeTBx1-GWA \nAbout the bands: \nKendall Street Company\nFrom late night jam sessions at the University of Virginia to main stages at venues and festivals throughout the country\, Kendall Street Company has broken the mold of improvised rock and enters a world of jazz-grass infused psychedelic bliss. With no two shows ever the same\, word of mouth has quickly grown a ravenous fanbase eager to hear their favorite studio tracks explored and extended as part of a live community. As seasoned KSC fans can tell you\, any one of their songs could easily turn from a fun sing-along\, into a cacophonous headbanging garage-rock soundscape\, to a Klezmer-disco dance party\, and then resolve into a peaceful ambient meditation that evokes nostalgia of your childhood. \nAveraging over 100 shows per year since 2013\, the band is currently comprised of Louis Smith [Acoustic guitar\, vocals]\, Brian Roy [Bass\, vocals]\, Ryan Wood [Drums]\, Ben Laderberg [Electric guitar]\, and Jake Vanaman [Saxophone]. For such a young band\, their accomplishments are sincere. Kendall Street has performed at festivals such as Lockn’\, Roosterwalk\, Floydfest\, Resonance\, and Domefest and has opened for acts such as Papadosio\, Umphrey’s McGee\, Tauk\, and Leftover Salmon. All the while\, the band has proudly released three records and two EPs. Their most recent 2019 release\, “Lunar Dude” showcases their versatility and virtuosity\, and was met with overwhelming support. \n2020 is building up to be the biggest year yet for the band. Along with two (or perhaps three) new records on the horizon\, their upcoming Winter/Spring tour will take them all across the country in Woody Guthrie fashion. From Louisiana to Texas\, Colorado to Wisconsin\, Ohio to Boston\, New York City and more\, the band has no intent of slowing down any time soon. See you on the road! \nRELEASE HISTORY:\nLunar Dude – EP [2019]\nRemoteVision – Double LP [2018]\nSpace for Days – LP [2017]\nEarth Turns – LP [2016]\nKendall Street Company – EP [2014]
