Featuring music from various bands Jeremy has played in over the years\, including…\nMountain Ghost\nThe Mothman Cacophony\nAngry Fix\nThe Anytime Leslies\nTHE Minority/Deaf Dumb and Blind Kids\nWe will close out the night by sharing stories and memories of Jeremy followed by an improvised set that is open to all who have played with Jeremy over the years.\nJeremy Zelman was an educator\, musician\, and friend to countless individuals. He was a central figure in the Milwaukee music scene and beyond\, so we will be holding this memorial show to honor his memory through music as we know he would want. We want to share the gifts of music\, friendship\, and love he left us with his friends\, family\, loved one\, collaborators\, students\, and anyone who loves music and community.\n\n\n\nThe show below\, scheduled for this date\, has been cancelled. \nFormed in 2019\, Milwaukee-based trio\, Angry Fix fuses elements of shoegaze and dream pop with progressive rock rhythmic sensibilities. All of this pairs seamlessly with haunting vocal melodies and socially conscious lyrics. Angry Fix is: Xy – lead vocals\, electronics\, and guitar\, Alex – drums and electronic percussion\, and Jeremy – bass and baritone guitars\, electronics\, and backing vocals. \n \n\nMountain Ghost was formed in 2022 by UWM Peck School of the Arts alumni: Sam (The Gosh Father) Balistreri\, AJ (Chef) Peal\, Matt (Maestro) Martell\, and Jeremy (J-Bone) Zelman. Founding members of projects NeoCaveman\, Dogbad\, .:\mediafool/:.\, and Angry Fix blend their varying influences through a shared musical vision resulting in a cynical and blunt lyricism expressed through an alt-rock sound-aesthetic. \n \n\nMumbleMouth is an alt-folk band from Port Washington\, WI\, formed in 2012.  The group is an experimental grab bag of ambient folk music reminiscent of something you’d find in a vacuum cleaner bag – coated in gravel and full of surprises. \n \n\n

After a few years\, rock devotees lit a signal fire of their own. It was a desperate cry for help from weary fans who’d only had generic rock music to satisfy their appetite for good tunes since the band packed it in. Their distress call couldn’t be ignored any longer. In 2014\, Signalfire reunited to answer their fans prayers for riffs\, grooves\, and tunes. \nRole call. Andrew Ballard. Vox and Git. Wails melodies like he’s sinking to the bottom of Perdition.\nBrett Dumstrey. Bass. Distributor of infectious grooves.\nAC. Drums. DESCRIPTION:ADORNER Is a Psychedelic Rock band project by songwriter Madeline Stadel\, based out of Milwaukee\, WI. Formed at the end of 2020\, the group writes Indie rock with a poetic disposition\, combining psychedelic edge with soulful emotion. The members feature Madeline Stadel\, with evocative and powerful vocals\, as well as lush and full keyboards. On drumset\, Kay Speidel\, with complex and dynamic rhythms that drive the group. And\, the shredding power and artistry of Elly Bird on guitar. They released their self-titled EP on May 6th 2022\, and are actively recording and writing as a group\, as well as playing shows. The group is ready to bring music that is according to The Milwaukee Record*\, “dreamy and impassioned”\, as well as\,”unique and powerful”. \n*Matt Wild\, The Milwaukee Record\, 2022 \n \n\nSpider Creek is a music collective based out of Milwaukee Wisconsin full of an eclectic group of artists ranging from musicians and producers to visual artists. Sonically\, the group enjoys the term “Genre Fluid” to describe the sound created in their studio\, titled “THE ATTIC”. (As it resides in the attic of the home 3 of the 4 original members live in.) The collective’s inception took place in March of 2020. In an attempt to escape the insanity of the early stages of the pandemic the 4 original members\, SAINTRÈ\, IanJames. \, Makatà and Lizzie Kay rented a house in northern Wisconsin on a body of water called “Spider Creek”\, with the intent of writing a collaboration album. At the end of the week they had finished the project and went their separate ways as artists. Over the course of the next year and a half they continued to have Spider Creek recording sessions while maintaining their solo artist status. It wasn’t until January of 2022 that the 4 decided to focus on creating a collective. Since that time the group has invited new artists to each session\, and added two new members into the collective full time\, Keyba and LOVEPeso\, only intensifying the complexity and eclectic nature that Spider Creek embodies. \n \n\nSSAANN is a 4-piece\, indie dream pop band from Milwaukee. Their songs spotlight duets of atmospheric guitar and lush synth forming a spacey escape. Echoing vocals paired with reflective lyrics cast an illuminating sound to create an effortless\, easy-going feel. Expect laid-back yet driving drums\, big bass\, and cascading keys to make you want to “run to the woods and call your mom”. Members: Melissa Simes (lead vocals/synth)\, Jack Lundeen (guitar)\, Tori Yocum (bass)\, and Ransom Nyhart (drums). \n \n\n7:30pm doors\, 8pm music\, $10

DESCRIPTION:5PM to Nowhere is an alt-pop project formed in 2020 by Milwaukee singer-songwriter Jacob Webb. Evoking the emotional balladry of Coldplay and the thematic songwriting of Sufjan Stevens\, he explores his own experiences and hopes in his music. Webb’s musical journey began following the passing of his father when he was eight years old; searching for an outlet for the grief and loneliness eating at his heart\, he turned to writing and performing music. \nWhile studying music composition at Northwestern University in Chicago\, Webb entered the OnRecord Songwriting Competition\, a music competition involving students from Chicago-area universities\, winning the competition with his song “Rumination”. During his time at Northwestern\, Webb was the Music Director of THUNK A Cappella\, and notably arranged the group’s viral cover of Bishop Briggs’ “River”. 5PM to Nowhere released it’s debut album Stoicism to critical acclaim in the summer of 2022! \n \n\nA popular & rising band out of Milwaukee\, WI – Lake Drive continues to reach a growing fanbase with their emotionally compelling catalog & vibrant stage presence. DESCRIPTION:Zach Pietrini’s Midwestern\, indie americana songwriting aesthetic is the sonic embodiment of a well-worn denim jacket. At the forefront of the Americana resurgence\, Pietrini—lead vocalist and guitarist for his namesake band—takes an everyman’s approach to the genre with a knack for honest storytelling and a wistfulness that comes across in both the music and lyrics. The band takes its cues from Tom Petty\, Bruce Springsteen\, and David Ramirez\, reinterpreting and rejuvenating American roots styles through a contemporary lens. Pietrini’s songs “situate him at the confluence of all that an urban Millennial audience finds relatable” (Milwaukee Magazine)\, performing old-soul themes of ennui\, regret\, disappointment\, and nostalgia with a modern twist. \n \n\nSinger-songwriter Ben Harold\, who has been writing since the minute he picked up guitar at 15-years-old\, knew he couldn’t do it alone—convening with fellow Wisconsin musicians looking to start a band and Harold quitting his day job to pursue it full-time. \nHarold’s upbringing in northern Wisconsin was on a small\, blue-collar island called Washington Island. Sandwiched between Wisconsin and Michigan\, the island is solely traveled to via ferry and mainly by tourists\, leading Harold and his mother\, brother\, and two sisters to be isolated\, and spending most of his teenage years playing chords–his dream of making music only being just that. \nAfter relocating to the west side of Wisconsin\, near Minnesota\, and then back to Milwaukee\, Harold worked several jobs in the industry and put together a few bands—but it was nothing like the feeling of making music himself\, reminiscing on his upbringing where he was raised by a single mother who encouraged him to sing and play\, influenced by bands like Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Dave Matthews Band. \n \n\nJesse Tyler Frewerd is a singer/songwriter and Army Veteran based out of Milwaukee\, WI. After serving in Iraq in 2004\, Jesse turned to music to help process the difficult experiences he had endured while serving his country. However\, it wasn’t until 2017 that he had the opportunity to work with professional songwriters in Nashville through the nonprofit CreatiVets that he truly discovered his passion for songwriting. \nJesse’s experience in Nashville inspired him to write “Soldier Coming Home\,” a song that transformed his story into a powerful message of hope and resilience. Since then\, he has continued to write music that showcases his unique blend of rock and country and delivers uplifting messages of strength and perseverance. \nIn addition to music\, Jesse enjoys spending time with his wife Katie\, who is also a musician\, and their son Dean\, who was born in October 2021. When he’s not making music\, Jesse can be found playing chess\, watching MMA fights\, or cheering on the Bucks and Packers. \nWith his exceptional musicality and thoughtful lyrical content\, Jesse seamlessly blends his rock roots with country influences to create a sound that is both powerful and emotive.
