SUMMARY:Lost Orange Cat w/ Cozy Danger * April 11\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Lost Orange Cat burst onto the Milwaukee music scene in 2018.  Musically featuring their original songs inspired by a broad variety of styles and genres.  They are always pushing the boundaries of their creativity to find new sounds that feel familiar.  The band’s live performance brings the force of a locomotive led by Josh Konkel’s power soul vocals backed by a Rock N’ Roll band disguised as a bluegrass band. The group is made of 4 total members that each bring a unique stylistic flare to give Lost Orange Cat their original sound. You’ll hear elements of classic rock\, outlaw country\, psychedelic blues\, and a hint of bluegrass to give you something you can only call\, Folk N’ Roll. \nMembers: Josh Konkel: Vocals/Guitar Geoff McDonald: Bass Joe Royten: Mandolin Kyle Ciske: Drums \n \n\nCozy Danger is a jangly rock trio that takes influence from a Milwaukee sound that defined bands like Soul Low\, Jaill\, and Sat. Night Duets. \nCozy Danger is the surf garage passion project of Jake Brandt\, Chris Vertovec and Phil Gieschen. Born from the bend of Milwaukee’s indie rock scene\, their jangly brand of surf garage teeters between surf driven garage pop\, funk-tinged rock\, and smiley punk. Simply put\, this band is dog-friendly and fun AF. Cozy Danger is fresh off a year of break-out shows including a sold out Edelweiss Concert Cruise\, Milwaukee street fests like Summer Soulstice Festival\, and a record release show at Shank Hall. Their latest single\, “Basement Uno” spins regularly in rotation on 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. \n \n\nDoors at 7:00\, Music at 8:00\, $10

SUMMARY:Sophia Corinne\, Ellie Jackson\, Lyle De Vitry\, & Mol Sullivan * April 16\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life\, one lived paying attention. Her songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season. Since 2021 she has been tending a garden of folk songs and diy shows\, releasing multiple EPs and touring extensively across North America. In 2025 she released her debut album ‘let’s just pretend’ via Ghost Mountain Records. She is currently based in Asheville NC\, where she lives in a tiny home. \n \n\nWith the support of a rotating cast of bandmates\, Ellie Jackson delivers determined vulnerability and emotional exploration through guitars\, stories\, amplification and a careful balance of harmony and dissonance. Ellie blurs the lines between poetry\, literature\, activism\, music\, comedy\, conversation\, and hopes you leave braver than you arrived. \n \n\nMuch like life itself\, the music of Lyle de Vitry comes in cycles. With his intricate\, ambient fingerpicking guitar style and suede-soft baritone voice\, de Vitry mesmerizes audiences into meditative serenity. Immersed in rich and nuanced harmonic composition\, listeners are gently drawn into the here and now. Effortlessly moving between unity and dissonance\, voice and instrumentation\, rhythm and melody\, de Vitry seamlessly integrates the comfort of folk music with the spine-shivering emotional release and intentionality of classical compositions. In so doing\, he manages to create a sound as dynamic and honest as the ocean’s eternally flowing tides or the planet’s ever-changing seasons. \n \n\n\ncincinnati grit // midwestern charm\n\n\n“Cautiously” music video out now\n\n\nGOOSE\, debut LP streaming everywhere 🙂\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors at 7:00pm\, Music at 7:30pm\, $10

SUMMARY:Jesse Garwood Club w/ Mas Verde\, & Smooth Talkers * April 18\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Hi! I’m Jesse Garwood\, an indie pop/rock singer and songwriter in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. I write CONSTANTLY and excel at coordinating the sound of my songs seamlessly with the messages they convey. Between the acoustic roots and painfully honest lyrics\, listeners find themselves exploring a world built into each of my songs. You may have seen me perform at Milwaukee’s local open mic nights\, bars and breweries\, and even at Summerfest – the world’s largest music festival… And I’m just getting started! \n \n\nMas Verde is a fusion of Rock\, Blues\, Jazz\, and Psych. Starting out of Milwaukee\, WI\, Mas Verde is a music collective formed around the songs written by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Zach Spiegler. Inspiration behind the music of Mas Verde ranges from The Cars\, The Beach Boys\, and David Bowie to more modern acts like Mac Demarco and Tame Impala. Mas Verde’s music is a reflection of good times\, falling in and out of love\, and drinking a beer while daydreaming about your life. Plus\, the world needs more green\, don’t you think?! \n \n\nSmooth Talkers are an Alternative Grunge Pop band formed in Milwaukee in 2025. It consists of Peter Lindsey(guitar/vox)\, Jimmy Richardson(lead guitar)\, Ghostcrab(bass) and Steve Luna(drums). SUMMARY:Francesca & the Night Sky w/ Carter Hunnicut * April 26\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Prolific songwriter Francesca played the Milwaukee area for years solo and as leader of the well-loved “Francesca and the 440 Hum”. \nFrancesca and guitarist Tom Plutshack were casually acquainted from the local music scene and when she booked a one-off show at Milwaukee’s long-running The Coffee House\, she asked Tom for help in putting a set together. \nDespite a difference in background (and maybe personality) the pieces fit together awfully well.  The one-off turned into the duo Francesca & Tom playing around town for couple years. \nFrancesca started wanting to bring up the energy and sound of their project and make it noisy and rude enough to fit comfortably into the rowdy bars where she felt most at home. [Ed.: Just kidding Frannie] \nTom turned to a couple skilled players he knew from earlier adventures in the cover band scene\, drummer Mike Farrow and bassist/multi-instrumentalist Larry Koehn. Again\, the pieces just fit. \n \n\nCarter Hunnicut is a long-time veteran of the Milwaukee music scene playing in iconic bands such as Those XCleavers.  In his new band\, The Swivels\, Carter is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. \n \n\nDoors at 2:00pm\, Music at 3;00PM\, $7

SUMMARY:Drive-A-Tron w/ Creature Weather\, & Vanity Plates * May 7\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Drive-a-tron is an indie-rock/dance band mixing together heavy grooves\, unexpected harmonies\, pulsing keyboards\, and poly-rhythmic lyrics as ingredients in a joyous musical burrito. Lightweight and easy to pack\, Drive-a-tron is typically run by one person (Paul Vash – Madison\, WI) who writes the songs\, plays the instruments\, makes the videos\, and changes the oil. \nDancing\, sweating\, and joy are the goals of Drive-a-tron\, but a closer look at the song lyrics may surprise you with stories of complex characters and situations. The excitement of the music comes through on stage with Paul performing on different instruments\, often with synced videos and friends\, and encouraging audience members to join in. Everyone who attends a Drive-a-tron show is invited to be “in the band”. \n \n\n“Down-the-street Milwaukee neighbors” Tad Jameyfield and John Doyle\, whose affinity for experimental pop became the common ground on which they built their Creature Weather project. Jameyfield’s affection for ’60s bands like The Zombies and The Buckinghams is all over their music. The weathered piano\, echoey vocals and harmonies set a tone.  – Radio Milwaukee- \n \n\nVanity Plates  – post-butt-rock for fans of Jeopardy but not the college tournament!! Three-piece rock band from Milwaukee\, WI featuring Pete Ciolino on bass\, Shane Timm on drums\, and Alex Shah on guitar and vocals.\n \nDoors at 7:00pm\, Music at 7:30\, $10

SUMMARY:Bluejae w/ Rob Sender\, J.R. Wesley\, & Poet Kavon Cortez-Jones * May 9\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:The voice between worlds—channeling the energy of air and water through indie soul\, folk\, and poetic flow. Blujae’s music is a sacred space for vulnerability\, joy\, and remembrance of unconditional love. Rooted in authenticity and guided by freedom\, Blujae \n \n\nRobbie Sender is a Milwaukee based singer songwriter\, blending elements of country\, folk\, and roots music with punchy and poetic storytelling. Making his debut in 2025\, he has since found himself welcomed with open arms by the traditional country community\, the folk-punks\, and everyone in between. Lyricism lies at the heart of his music\, drawing on influences like Townes Van Zandt\, Luke Bell\, Conor Oberst\, and is quick to quote Tom Waits: “I like to think that my main instrument is vocabulary”. Raised on pop-punk and Patsy Cline\, he leans on the ancient wisdom of the greats – four chords and the truth. \n \n\nJ.R. Wesley is an independent musician from Milwaukee\, Wisconsin\, known for blending folk\, indie\, and roots-inspired sounds into his music. Wesley’s work spans acoustic storytelling\, folk ballads\, and indie-roots arrangements\, often drawing on personal and narrative themes. His music is available for streaming and purchase via Bandcamp and other platforms jrwesley.bandcamp.com+1. He has released an EP titled Indiana (deluxe)\, which includes tracks like “don’t count him out” \n \n\nKavon “KJ” Cortez-Jones is a Milwaukee poet whose gregarious presence draws audiences into his waterfalls of words. He celebrated his 28th birthday in 2022. \n“I try my best to be an ambassador of the city. I wish folks saw Milwaukee in the way that I see it\,” KJ says. “I feel I lived through certain different angles of Milwaukee\, through the traumatic inner city and then diving into the community.” \nKJ published Club Noir\, a collection of his poetry in 2016. In 2022 he was looking ahead to releasing a new book including a hundred of his favorite memories with 100 Milwaukeeans in time for his 30th birthday in 2024. “Two years is enough\,” he says. \nIn his 2016 collection of poetry\, self-published as the book Club Noir\, KJ called Milwaukee the “Paris of the Midwest.” In his written and spoken words there is an evident love of the city\, its people\, its quirks\, its rhythms. There is also an uncalculating intimacy that swings on lattices of playful syllables from youthful nostalgia through emotional internality to careful observation of urban life. Overall\, readers—and especially live audiences—are struck by the expansiveness of KJ’s sonic portraits\, washed by waves of his rolling words. \n \n\nDoors at 6:30pm\, Music at 7:00pm\, $5

SUMMARY:Luke Callen Album Release w/ Dandy Freling * May 15\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Luke Callen is a songwriter – singer – instrumentalist and poet who spends most of his time living in the Upper Midwest – where the prairie meets the big woods and the rivers all run to the Mississippi. He will be releasing his latest Album – “Fool’s Spring” – on April 1st 2026. \nRecorded in a small cabin in Northern Wisconsin by Milwaukee’s own Will Hansen (Old Pup) – featuring three improvised instrumental pieces – field recordings of birds in Arkansas – Missouri – and Wisconsin – topical – personal and tongue in cheek songwriting – alongside ethereal fingerstyle and Travis style fingerpicking – accompanied by Pedal Steel – Bass – Electric Guitar – Drums – Percussion – Sounds – and Harmony Singers. \nOutside of music – Luke enjoys tending to his garden – communing with the natural world – propagating and distributing Native wildflowers and Woody shrubs – and playing in and around water. \nwebsite: www.lukecallen.com \nInstagram: www.instagram.com/_lukecallen_ \nBandcamp: https://lukecallenmusic.bandcamp.com/ \n \n\nDandy Freling is a boot-stompin’\, finger-pickin’ folkie hailing from Milwaukee\, Wisconsin — a troubadour with one foot in the dust of the past and the other planted firmly on a wooden stage somewhere down the road. Drawing from the high and lonesome hollers of the old-time greats\, Dandy channels the raw spirit of traditional American folk and country\, weaving it together with her own down-home storytelling and rough-hewn charm.  Armed with a well-worn guitar\, a voice that carries both grit and grace\, and a knack for songwriting that cuts straight to the bone\, Freling captures the heart of the wandering soul. \nWebsite: https://www.dandyfreling.com/ \nYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@dandyl.freling467/videos \nBandcamp: https://dandylfreling.bandcamp.com/ \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/dandyfreling/ \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/dandy.l.freling/ \n \n\nDoors at 7:00pm\, Music at 8:00pm\, $10
