The tempo is upbeat\, and the core of the band is familiar — with John’s brother Mike on bass and brotherly harmonies\, Bob Jennings on keys and sax\, and Bob Schneider on drums. \n“If there’s an unsung hero in American Music right now it just might be John Sieger… His voice is a study in emotional grace\, one that touches all the places inside us that need touching… Sieger shows us that walking down a familiar sidewalk and grabbing melodies from thin air is a holy pursuit\, and then carving words into the music takes things right into an eternal quest for permanence.”\n— Bill Bentley // Americana Highways \nSubscribe to the John Sieger Benevolent Society and get a song every Monday! Check it out at www.patreon.com/JohnSieger \n \nDoors at 6pm\, show at 7pm.  $15

SUMMARY:December 27\, 2022
DESCRIPTION:GEORGE SHEPPARD’S 50TH BIRTHDAY SHOW!!! \nat Linneman’s\, December 27th! Doors at 7pm\, Music at 7:30pm \n-JOSEPH HUBER- \n[Americana; Folk; Folk Rock; Singer-songwriter; Alt-Country] \nJoseph Huber – guitar / harmonica / percussion. (previously with .357 String Band) \nEston Bennett – upright bass. (also with the Thrifttones and E.B. Albeit) \nKenny Leiser – fiddle. (also with WheelHouse and Old Soul Society) \n“…It has been said\, “You don’t just like Joseph Huber’s music. You feel it’s something that the rest of the world needs to hear\, and how criminal it is that it isn’t spreading far and wide.” That sentiment could be related to the fact that the voices which Huber unearths are subtle and take more than a hurried listen to truly absorb. A person who appears reserved and matter-of-fact in everyday speech brings forth songs that are anything but that. \nAs the singer\, songwriter\, performer\, recorder and producer of all of his own material\, Huber has his hands full\, but never seems to miss a beat. And his own ‘solo’ material has now certainly surpassed the output of his past efforts\, both in volume and substance. As one of the founding member of the .357 String Band–a group that would probably fit better in today’s ‘Americana-saturated’ environment than in the early to middle aughts–he’s gradually honed a sound that seems to fill a very real gap within the still-emerging genre. Having progressed\, Huber continues moving onward and upward captivating folks with his sincere and well-crafted songs under his own name along with the impeccable musicianship of his fellow touring partners. Whether it’s irresistible\, fiddle-driven\, dancing tunes or honest\, heart-wrenching “songwriter” songs\, Huber’s songs and shows spans the spectrum of ‘Roots’ music while preferring not to stay within the boundaries of any strict genre classification….” \nhttp://www.josephhubermusic.com/bio.html \nhttps://www.facebook.com/josephhubermusicprofile \nhttp://www.josephhubermusic.com/home.html \n \n\n-JAYKE ORVIS- \n[Roots; Gothic/Alt-Country; Bluegrass; Folk; Americana; Blues] \n(previously with Penalty Box\, .357 String Band\, and Jayke Orvis & The Broken Band; currently with Goddamn Gallows) \n“…he effortlessly infuses punk\, rock\, blues\, gypsy\, honky-tonk\, bluegrass\, and old-time to develop a style all his own helping to define the sound of a genre while simultaneously\, and gratifyingly\, making it all that much more difficult to pin a name onto.” \nhttps://www.facebook.com/jayke.orvismusic \n \n\n-POISON HAND- \nMilwaukee Punk Rock \n(Made up of members from Assault and Battery; Convert; Get Rad; Cry Coyote.) Influences include Criminal Kids and Dead Boys. \nPoison Hand are: Ben\, Patsy\, Dan\, Richie. \nhttps://www.facebook.com/PoisonHandmke \n \n\nTuesday\, December 27th\, 2022 \nDoors open to the public at 7 p.m. \nLive music performances 7:30 – 11:45 \n$10 cover at the door (feel free to donate more at the door to help support these awesome musicians). \nstart times are approximate \nJayke Orvis 8 p.m. \nJoseph Huber 8:45 p.m. \nPoison Hand 11 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:Lunar Ticks are an eclectic Improvisational/Alternative Rock band from Chicago\, IL.  \nThe band is influenced by the songwriting and studio experimentation of 90’s and 2000’s innovative Alternative/Indie rock bands like Wilco\, My Morning Jacket\, The Flaming Lips\, Ween\, Yo La Tengo\, Pavement\, and Dr. Dog\, and fuses it with genre-bending\, progressive musicality\, and exploratory improvisations in the vein of The Grateful Dead\, Phish\, and Umphrey’s McGee. \nLunar Ticks are equally at home on a bill with a folk singer\, punk band\, free jazz ensemble\, you name it. Each setlist is formed from their diverse and expansive song list of originals and covers; debuting new material at almost every show. Extended improvisational passages can turn on a dime or meditate and unfurl in unexpected ways. Lunar Ticks aim to create a unique and memorable experience every time they pick up their instruments. \n \n\nKyle John Kenowski is a Milwaukee based musician and animator whose music is best described as “classical psychedelic folk pop”. His music ranges from triumphant to devastating\, from scary to sweet\, decorated with lilting classical guitar passages and a thousand different voices. In November 2020 he released the animated music video TRUSTWORMY which was published by Adult Swim alongside his album NEED DISEASE. \n \nDoors at 8pm\, show at 9pm\, $10
