DESCRIPTION:Sunday Drive is a band from Milwaukee\, Wl whose songs have a driven and hopeful tone. Fusing classic rock alternative and modern indie & pop influences\, the band delivers a fresh approach to an open\, honest\, and guitar-driven sound. Originally a cover band\, their first album\, Coming Up for Air\, began as a creative experiment that quickly turned into a collection of songs for the album. The songs deal largely with everyday struggles of love\, faith & doubt-always reminding that there’s a way forward. \n \n  \n\nWildered blends folk music and banjos with synths and full band energy. A collective project of artists and musicians from across the US\, spearheaded by singer-songwriter Nate Bjorge based out of Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. SUMMARY:Daniel Rey & the Revenirs w/ Silo Smokestacks\, and Chystal Gales (aka Steve the Pet Engine guy) * October 19\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of ass kicking alt-country tunes as Daniel Rey & the Revenirs (featuring Dejan of the Gufs) shares the stage with Silo Smokestacks and Chystal Gales aka Steve the Pet Engine guy . Doors at 6:30pm $10 \nDaniel Rey & the Revenirs are a Chicago Alt-Country outfit whose tunes embrace a sonic sensibility reminiscent of the Drive-By Truckers\, Whiskeytown\, Son Volt and the Sadies. \nThe Revenirs sound revolves around singer/songwriter Daniel Rey’s tales of “sorrow and solitude” like a fever dream embodied by the many “low down” souls he’s encountered along the way. The band features Dennis Kardys on guitar and Dean Radzik on drums\, both alums of Chicagoland alt-country darlings\, The Dirty Green alongside former The Soup (Denton TX) bassist\, Dodgy Mary (Chicago) vocalist and Lone Star Native “Catfish” Willy Hudson on bass. \n“Daniel Rey” began as the solo Alt-country\, side-project of singer/songwriter Dejan Kralj (day-on kraal)\, who has spent the last three and a half decades as the bass guitarist and one of the primary songwriters for Milwaukee’s reclusive alternative-rock band\, The Gufs.  The former Atlantic Recording/EMI Publishing Artist and 2012 Wisconsin Area Music Industry Hall of Fame Inductee is a life-time resident of the Midwest\, Rey (the Spanish translation of Kralj) and divides his time between his current home in the Veltway community of Berwyn and a small farm in Southeastern Indiana\, which has been the source of his alt-folk/alt-country musings over the last twenty-five years. \n\nOpening will be: Silo Smokestacks w/ Chystal Gales (aka Steve the Pet Engine guy!) \nJoin us for an evening of ass kicking alt-country tunes as Daniel Rey & the Revenirs (featuring Dejan of the Gufs) shares the stage with Silo Smokestacks and Chystal Gales (aka Steve the Pet Engine guy). SUMMARY:Max & the Fellow Travelers EP Release w/ Old Pup\, & Dandy Freling * October 18\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:Max & the Fellow Travelers EP Release w/ Old Pup\, & Dandy Freling / Doors at 7pm\, Music at 8pm\, $10 \n\nArmed with little but a 6-string\, a harp rack and a stack of songs that harken back to the wrought folk rock of yesteryear\, Max Niemann packs a punch that is as heartfelt as it is biting. Roaming a sonic trail blazed by country punks and folk poets immemorial\, pre-Dylan on up through Tweedy\, Niemann follows in the footsteps of the American troubadour lineage\, propelling it into the present with songs that are as likely to strike a chord with the modern metropolitan as they are the lonesome wanderer. With his ever-evolving band of Fellow Travelers at his side\, the group provides rustic backdrops for the hard-nosed\, intimate stories of human joy\, suffering and striving that occupy Niemann’s songs. \n \n  \n  \n\nOld Pup is a psych-folk band from Milwaukee\, Wisconsin\, led by multi-instrumentalist Will Hansen. The band is known for its unique blend of psych\, folk\, and country music. Hansen’s sepia-toned vocals and the band’s experimental sound have garnered a local following1. \nOld Pup’s music often features a mix of traditional and unconventional instruments\, creating a distinctive soundscape. Their latest work includes the EP “Lion\,” which showcases their conceptual and experimental approach2. The band has also collaborated with various Milwaukee musicians\, adding depth and variety to their music. \n \n\nDandy Freling:   A highway-kind traveler combining a touch of the high and lonesome hollers of the Appalachian hill people with the low-down\, dusty grooves of the cosmic cowboys\, Dandy has created a unique sonic banquet sure to satisfy the hunger of any weary passerby. A boot stompin’ finger picker with remnant hollers of the greats of our past – Don’t be afraid to stop awhile\, and fill up your plate\, there’s plenty to go around. \n \n\nMax & the Fellow Travelers EP Release w/ Old Pup\, & Dandy Freling / Doors at 7pm\, Music at 8pm\, $10

SUMMARY:Madame Reaper w/ SSAANN\, & Disposable Thumbs\, & Orange Drink * September 29\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:The brainchild of singer/songwriter Kira Leadholm\, Madame Reaper sets herself apart with angular synth-pop melodies\, hyper-produced arrangements\, and elaborate harmonies. Her unconventional lyrics and dominatrix persona offer a veiled critique of the way female performers are reduced to tropes\, and of gender power imbalances in the industry and in society. \nThroughout 2021 and 2022\, Kira wrote\, recorded\, and produced the demos for her self-titled debut record. After receiving a generous grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency\, she collaborated with her band and other local musicians to re-record the tracks at Chicago’s Treehouse Records Studio. Max Grazier is mixing and mastering the record\, which will be released in early 2023. \nMadame Reaper’s Gentlemen’s Club\, Kira’s nine-track debut record\, hovers at the nexus of ’80s synth-pop\, ’70s glam rock\, and classical music. Inspired by the early work of acts like New Order\, Depeche Mode\, and Kate Bush\, the record explores the possibilities of synths without sequencing and of blending electronic and acoustic soundscapes. Her theatrical vocals invoke the halcyon days of rock operas a la Queen or Sparks\, while many of her instrument parts forego modern trends in favor of 18th-century classical composition. \nA classically trained singer\, Kira began studying voice and piano at the age of nine. She grew up participating in local competitions and theater productions\, and composed music on GarageBand for much of her childhood. After singing in several acts as an adult\, Kira decided to form her own project in 2021. She has also been studying audio production and works as a freelance mix engineer. \n \n\nSSAANN is a Synth/Dreampop band from Milwaukee\, WI.  Combining atmospheric guitar\, lush synth\, and echoey vocals\, their atmospheric sound provides a sweet’n spacey escape. Influenced by Beach House\, STRFKR\, Patrick Watson. \n \n\nDisposable Thumbs is a new power pop trio from Milwaukee that mixes elements of smooth jazz\, shoegaze\, and psychedelia to create tunes as bizarre as they are addicting. Expect a constant flux between jangly grooves and fuzzed out fury (with a good dose of phaser). They are currently recording their first EP! \n\nWhether recording or performing live\, Orange Drink plays music to find catharsis. Jumping from electronic rock to indie folk to videogame dance\, the sounds and genres stay in flux\, with the focus on delivering artful and entertaining ways to confront the anxieties of life as an outsider seeking community. \n \n\nDoor at 7pm\, Music at 8pm\, $12
