SUMMARY:Long Mama w/ Resurrectionists\, & Allen Cote * November 20\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Long Mama’s music blisters with the heart and grit of someone who has lost hard\, loved harder\, and licked her burns until they stung then silvered. In a drafty attic just west of the Milwaukee River she grew up on\, you’ll find songwriter Kat Wodtke (Wood-key) raking through notebooks in search of a salve: words\, stories\, and sounds to temper the dumpster fires we never mean to light. Flickering behind each song is Wodtke’s lived insight into our human faults & fissures – the moments in life when we can slip and lose our footing\, or claw our way out…better people on the other side of the blaze. \nWodtke coined the name Long Mama (after a prickly\, shade-loving cactus) and teamed up with guitarist Andrew Koenig and drummer Nick Lang\, a pair whose chemistry adds dusky afterglow to Wodtke’s musical landscapes. Upright bass ace Samual Odin came aboard soon after\, along with regular collaborator Eva Nimmer\, whose backing vocals blend so elegantly with Wodtke’s that one could mistake them for blood harmonies. \n \n  \n\nResurrectionists\, a band hailing from Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. \nHistory and Formation: \nThe Resurrectionists came together in early 2019. The project emerged after the breakup of another band called Work\, in which the bassist and singer/guitarist Joe Cannon were both members. \nWork had a mix of punk energy and slower\, desperate-sounding songs. When Work disbanded due to the drummer moving to Texas\, Joe and bassist Jeff Brueggeman explored various successor projects. \nThe Resurrectionists were born out of the idea of focusing exclusively on the slower\, more melancholic side of their music. \n \n\nAllen Coté is a composer\, multi-instrumentalist\, multimedia artist\, divemaster and ship captain\, originally from Austin\, TX and currently based in Milwaukee and Door County\, WI. Coté is proficient in guitar\, lap steel\, bass\, ukulele\, mandolin\, and many others; and received the Wisconsin Area Music Industry’s 2011 “Specialty Instrumentalist of the Year” award. He holds his 25 Ton Master with Aux Sail Merchant Mariner Credential\, captains several ships in Door County\, and guides scuba and snorkeling tours on shipwrecks in the region. \nAllen Coté has contributed to recordings and performances by numerous national and international artists. He has also provided original scores and sound design for film and live theatre productions with worldwide distribution\, received “Best Score – International Short Documentary” from the Hollywood North Film Awards\, and composed ten seasons of the Emmy-winning PBS television show Wisconsin Foodie. \n \n\nDoors at 6:30pm\, Music at 7:30pm\, $10

SUMMARY:Groove Grease w/ Hot Science * November 21\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Groove Grease is a dynamic Milwaukee funk band blending old school organ grooves (a la Jimmy McGriff) with new school synthesizer-based jams and electronic hooks. \nAndy Schultz – Keys\nPeter Trueden – Drums\nNick Miller – Guitar\nJonah Felda – Bass \n \n\nBlending quirky and sometimes vaguely familiar samples with frenetic synths and hip hop drums\, Hot Science is a thoughtful journey into distant alien landscapes. SammyJams produced Hot Science entirely within the confines of the Teenage Engineering OP-1 and its virtual 4 track “tape” recorder. This production method gives Hot Science a very unified sound and unique character. \n \nDoors at 7:00\, Music at 8:00\, $10 \n\n

SUMMARY:All Messed Up Potluck Drawing! * November 30\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO THE ALL MESSED UP 14 POTLUCK AND DRAWING!\n♫ The drawing and potluck for All Messed Up XIV will be held at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn on Sunday\, November 30th. Doors open at 6:00 PM\, and we will start the drawing a little after 7.\n\n♫ Everyone is invited to the potluck\, not just the people on the roster. Reserves\, especially if it’s your first time\, are encouraged to join us. Bring your friends and family. Get them to sign up as reserves. Get them indoctrinated! RESERVE SIGN UP NEVER CLOSES!\n\n♫ I recommend you arrive by 6:30pm\, but not earlier than 6pm\, because that’s when Jim is going to open the bar. That’s enough time to get some food and mingle a bit before we get down to business.\n\n♫ I’m going to say it; the success or failure of the potluck mostly depends on YOU. I’m busy planning an event. I’m probably not cooking for all y’all. I will provide pizza (get it while it’s there!) and things like utensils\, napkins\, plates. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. You all have been killing it with food sharing at the potluck for years so I’m sure you can handle this!\n\n♫ There will be 16 numbered tables in the showroom. Come drawing time\, it’s fine to sit anywhere\, but when we announce the bands\, please vacate the tables in order so that the newly formed bands may sit there and get acquainted.\n\n♫ NEW THIS YEAR! If your band is missing members at the drawing- don’t worry\, it happens. We have a volunteer with a laptop who will be on hand to get you all the contact info you need to get in touch with your new comrades in creativity. He will also be able to help new sign ups register on the spot.\n\n♫ As always\, there will be one additional stipulation to be revealed the night of the drawing. This is just a little bonus challenge to keep things fresh and fun.\n\n♫ DON’T BE NERVOUS\, YOU GOT THIS. WE GOT THIS. WE GOT EACH OTHER. IT”S TIME TO BE A BAND!!!!\nFUTURE STUFF…\n♫ For promotional purposes\, each band must name themselves by SUNDAY\, JANUARY 4th\, 2026 by 11:59pm. You will need to submit your name via the website this year. I will explain more at the drawing. IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT THIS NAME IN TIME\, I will name your band for you. No amount of begging will change my mind. No extensions will be given\, and let me tell you\, do I have some good ones saved up\, SO I AM HOPING that some of you are lazy\, or can’t get your shit together\, or just want to be named by me.\n\n♫ THE TWO NIGHT SHOWCASE THIS YEAR WILL BE HELD AT LINNEMAN’S RIVERWEST INN ON FRIDAY FEB 13 & SATURDAY FEB 14th 2026

SUMMARY:J.R. & the Strangers w/ Dropbear Collective\, Ben Harold Trio\, & Genesee * December 5\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Rolling through the heartland of Americana rust\, J.R. & The Strangers are on a roots rock mission to write songs and rattle stages. When Justin Jagler\, Ryan Neale\, Jake Stanzer and Lee Gray come together\, driving rhythms and dynamic guitars turn the pages of a neo-western book of revelations.  The project delivers a blend of roots rock\, outlaw folk\, Americana\, and neo-western psychedelia. \n \n\nDropbear Collective is a 4-piece modern rock outfit from Milwaukee\, WI. Formed in 2018 the band quickly began writing original music and hasn’t stopped since. They released their debut album in late 2019 and with a growing following\, the quartet is redefining modern rock n’ roll. DBC draws influence from a wide variety of artists such as Led Zeppelin\, Built to Spill\, and many more. The group combines to create the unique blend of powerful riffs\, catchy hooks and underlying folk elements. \n \n\nBen Harold & The Rising (TRIO) live and die as a band. The group was founded in 2018 and specializes in rousing\, hard-luck narrative indie/ roots rock. SUMMARY:Driveway Thriftdwellers Album Release w/ Joseph Huber Band * December 6\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Driveway Thriftdwellers: \n“Emotionally ripe\, old school country.” – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. \n“Like a vintage yard sale that Merle Haggard might have thrown.” Isthmus. \n“Rugged\, straightforward country songwriting.” Tone Madison. \nVocals\, Guitar / Jon Knudson\nPedal Steel\, Vocals / Ryan Knudson\nLead Guitar\, Vocals / Kyle Rightley\nBass\, Vocals / Aaron Collins\nDrums\, Vocals / Jon Storey \n \n  \n\nJoseph Huber hails from the state of Wisconsin\, and seems to bring forth the varied voices of whatever it may be that lies dormant within either the fertile soil or the callous concrete of that world. It has been said\, “You don’t just like Joseph Huber’s music. You feel it’s something that the rest of the world needs to hear\, and how criminal it is that it isn’t spreading far and wide.” That sentiment could be related to the fact that the voices which Huber unearths are subtle and take more than a hurried listen to truly absorb. A person who appears reserved and matter-of-fact in everyday speech brings forth songs that are anything but that. \nAs the singer\, songwriter\, performer\, recorder and producer of all of his own material\, Huber has his hands full\, but never seems to miss a beat. And his own ‘solo’ material has now certainly surpassed the output of his past efforts\, both in volume and substance. As one of the founding member of the .357 String Band–a group that would probably fit better in today’s ‘Americana-saturated’ environment than in the early to middle aughts–he’s gradually honed a sound that seems to fill a very real gap within the still-emerging genre. \n \n\nDoors at 7:00pm\, Music at 8:00pm\, $20
