DESCRIPTION:The Rumble Roots formed in late summer of 2014 in Stevens Point\, WI. Starting off playing house parties as a bluesy trio (John\, Ben\, Brewster)\, the band recruited drummer Zach Hubert in addition to the percussion section. Now\, with an auxiliary set\, drum kit\, fat bass\, and wailing guitar\, The Rumble Roots carried thunderous jams wherever they played\, which has now evolved into official venues. However\, the band was not done growing yet\, for in the cold winter of January 2016\, a talentedly funky keyboardist by the name of Andy Gent courageously joined the band in their transition to a funkier feel! \nThe Rumble Roots\, as they stand now and continue to grow rapidly into the Wisconsin music scene\, are a band of climaxes. Energetic jams that soar from earthly rhythms to cosmic peaks are reached through a radical variety of improvisation and feel-good music. DESCRIPTION:Show is POSTPONED. It was in 1957 that The Esquires musical group was formed. Today the Moorer family is again generating the energy and excitement of the Original Esquires.  Johnny Moorer is the leading member of the group performing out today. Their debut record for Bunky/Scepter was “Get on Up”\, (1967) which became a major hit in the United States\, peaking at #11 as a pop single but reaching #3 on the R&B charts. Following the release they played Chicago’s Regal Theater and the Apollo Theatre in New York City. Further singles were also successes\, and the group released one full-length LP. After five singles on Bunky the group signed a deal with Scepter themselves late in 1968. They later returned to Bunky and then\, in 1970\, signed with Capitol Records for one single (“Reach Out”) and Lamarr Records in 1971 for “Girls in the City”. They are a beloved and well known group originally helped formed by Harvey Scales\, and now consist of Rudy Jacobs of The Seven Sounds\, and Johnny Moorer\, the son\, who continues the musical legacy.

DESCRIPTION:Colin O’Brien returns home to Milwaukee for a showing with a new musical partner! Colin and Travis Burch met on the banks of the Cumberland River in Nashville\, Tennessee\, just a good Frisbee throw up the river from the late John Hartford’s home They became neighbors and soon discovered that their singing together created a magic sound\, the perfect blend of sonority and timbre from two voices\, at once both distinct and complimentary. It was the sound that money can’t buy\, and one hard work alone could never create. So work they did\, rehearsing several days a week for months\, . Their extraordinary arrangements\, breathtaking dynamic range and instrumental prowess now all come together in service to the ‘voice’ that their two voices create. Under these layers of sound are Colin’s amazing percussive feet dancing on a plugged in hardwood box of his own design. The duo sounds like a four or even five piece band. On stage\, this deep bed of musical texture that Colin O’Brien and Travis Burch create is delivered with the easy going humor that does justice to the word entertainment. DESCRIPTION:RAZORCAKE.org Magazine #91 (USA) March 2016 It would not be outlandish statement to say that I worship at the altar of Marked Men. I know I am not alone. I get excited every time I hear that a member of that band has a new project going because I know it will be quality. Lost Balloons can be added to that growing list of amazing records. A two man collaboration featuring Jeff Burke (Marked Men\, Radioactivity\, et cetera) and Yusuke Okada (Suspicious Beasts)\, my first reaction was that sonically it falls in with Mind Spiders (featuring Marked Men and Radioactivity band member Mark Ryan) more than Burke´s other projects. i like that I am not familiar with Okada´s other bands But I think I am going to have to hunt them down because I really like what he is doing here (musically\, as well as all of the artwork). In a nutshell\, if you´re familiar with Jeff Burke’s music you know hat to expect\, well-crafted songs with incredibily depressing song titles. (“I water a tree (called depression)” and “Murder Me On Stage” instantly come to mind. As you would expect\, I can´t recommend this record enough. – TY Strangelohold\nJoining the bill this night will be Chinese Telephones\, & Fox Face!!

DESCRIPTION:Ben Kostich was an amazing musician that possessed a dose of talent that is rarely seen. He was proficient at singing\, brass instruments\, piano\, and his passion – the bass guitar. He had a musical sense that few people have and a razor sharp wit that was always delivered as dead-pan as his picture. Ben was taken from this world  unexpectedly on March 12th\, 2017 by a heart condition unknown to him. He was only 35. He is sorely missed by his family and friends. This will be a night of celebration in Ben’s memory doing what he loved most – performing and listening to music. Ben had a special fondness for pitbulls as he felt they were misunderstood\, so all proceeds of this event will go to PBRC (Pitbull Rescue Central). This event is open to the public\, so all are welcome to help us celebrate the wonderful life of our friend Ben Kostich! DESCRIPTION:The Tritonics are Jeff Stehr\, Dave Bolyard\, Tom Plutshack and Dave Cusma. They write\, arrange and perform original music written in the Jamaican roots styles of rock steady\, ska and reggae. They also cover crucial standards of those genres by artists like Alton Ellis\, Delroy Wilson\, Toots and the Maytalls\, The Heptones\, Johnny Clarke\, The Valentines and The Jamaicans. In addition\, The Tritonics apply a unique process they’ve dubbed “doowopification” to rock n roll classics by The Beatles\, The Rolling Stones\, The Kinks and many others. Doowopification reinterprets and revitalizes (Ital-izes!) classic rock standards\, anointing them in the name of Jah with stripped down\, Jamaican roots-style arrangements\, one drop-centered rhythm and harmony-heavy vocals. DESCRIPTION:Armchair Boogie takes the essence of traditional bluegrass/folk music and molds it to their own youthful\, energetic\, and improvisational style. Armchair Boogie formed in the heart of Wisconsin in 2014 as a banjo and guitar duo. After playing a handful of shows\, Augie Dougherty (banjo) and Ben Majeska (guitar) recruited a well versed rhythm section to hold down the upbeat tempos and provide an extra oomph that’ll bring even the saddest uncle to a dance floor. This happened in October 2015; and in the few short years since\, they’ve toured consistently around the midwest\, played with top notch artists such as Jeff Austin Band and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades\, and played venues as big as The Majestic Theater in Madison. The sound has a newgrass feel that’s not afraid to delve into realms like funk or country. Keep an eye out for the first full length Armchair Boogie album being released 2017\, and don’t miss them on the road year round!  Joined tonight by Derek Pritzl and the Gamble.
