DESCRIPTION:Fightin’ Bob is a 5-piece “Frog Rock” (funk/prog rock) band whose members hail from across the greater Milwaukee\, Wisconsin area.  They play originals and covers\, ranging from prog rock (ELP\, King Crimson\, Pink Floyd) to funk/jazz fusion (The Meters\, Stevie Wonder\, Weather Report) to jam bands/psychedelia (Grateful Dead\, Santana\, and Jimi Hendrix) and even their own interpretations of classic rock (Led Zeppelin\, Queen\, Three Dog Night). \n \n\n“The Taxmen“\, a Milwaukee-based band\, featuring Anthony (Bass)\, Jeff (Guitar)\, Will (Guitar)\, and Will (Drums)\, are not only known for their Beatles covers but also for their original compositions. Their performances encompass classics from the 1950s to the present day. Blending the familiar with the new\, “The Taxmen” are carving out their unique space in the local music scene\, captivating audiences with their diverse repertoire of covers and original songs. \n \n\nBorn and raised in rural Wisconsin\, Ryan James “R.J.” Ziebarth is a multi-instrumentalist\, composer\, singer-songwriter\, screenwriter and actor. \nOnce the singing drummer for Wonderful Bluffer and the bassist for Modern Joey\, R.J. now sings the song of the solo artist\, telling tales of love\, familial politics\, existentialism and doomsday scenarios (to name a few). From acoustic-punk rants and rock & roll ballads\, to the softest of American folk\, his music blurs the line between fiction and non-fiction\, captivating anyone with a penchant for raw\, story-based lyricism. R.J.’s debut\, self-titled album releases on February 21st\, 2025. \n \nDoors at 7:00pm\, Music at 8:00pm\, $5 \n

SUMMARY:Max & the Fellow Travelers w/ Glass Beagle\, & Sludge Hawking * August 22\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Armed with little but a 6-string\, a harp rack and a stack of songs that harken back to the wrought folk rock of yesteryear\, Max Niemann packs a punch that is as heartfelt as it is biting. Roaming a sonic trail blazed by country punks and folk poets immemorial\, pre-Dylan on up through Tweedy\, Niemann follows in the footsteps of the American troubadour lineage\, propelling it into the present with songs that are as likely to strike a chord with the modern metropolitan as they are the lonesome wanderer. With his ever-evolving band of Fellow Travelers at his side\, the group provides rustic backdrops for the hard-nosed\, intimate stories of human joy\, suffering and striving that occupy Niemann’s songs. \n \n  \n\nGlass Beagle is a popular Chicago\, Illinois band\, Country and Folk\, Power Pop and Rock n’ Roll is what they bring. \n \n\nSludge Hawking new hard folk from Milwaukee! \n \nDoors at 7:00pm\, Music at 8:00pm\, $10 \n\n  \n

SUMMARY:Mas Verde w/ Varsity Mac and Gabriel Harris * August 16\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Mas Verde is a fusion of Rock\, Blues\, Jazz\, and Psych. Starting out of Milwaukee\, WI\, Mas Verde is a music collective formed around the songs written by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Zach Spiegler. Inspiration behind the music of Mas Verde ranges from The Cars\, The Beach Boys\, and David Bowie to more modern acts like Mac Demarco and Tame Impala. Mas Verde’s music is a reflection of good times\, falling in and out of love\, and drinking a beer while daydreaming about your life. Plus\, the world needs more green\, don’t you think?! \n \n\nVarsity Mac:  Born and raised Milwaukee\, WI currently living in Madison\, WI. Mainly indie pop music with a crossover of alternative/psychedelic and influences of hip-hop\, shoegaze\, metal\, and many more. Something for everyone 🙂 \n \n\n“Milwaukee singer-songwriter Gabriel Harris is one of those artists with a very cool dichotomy. He lives up to the listener’s expectations — in his case\, high-impact vocals and finger-twisting guitarwork — while also finding creative ways to knock them off-kilter. \nSome of that stems from his preference to swerve between genre lanes and often ride two or three at the same time. As he describes it\, blues and rock get the most love but wind up intertwined with soul\, funk and alternative sounds.”  Radio Milwaukee | By Brett Krzykowski. \n \n\nDoors at 7pm\, Music at 8pm\, $10

DESCRIPTION:There’s a new Milwaukee heavy psych band called Shadeseeker. The group features Jeremy Peters on guitar and vocals; Evan Kotlowski on bass\, vocals\, and synth; and Dan Dahl on drums. Their debut single is called “Hatman.” It’s about\, well\, the Hatman. “I’m wide awake\, laying in my bed / Yes I’m afraid\, that I am already dead / Oh Hatman\, please don’t come round here again.” It absolutely rips!  – Matt Wild\, Milwaukee Record \n \n\nMilou Moon is the psych rock project of French-American musician Emily McGill (she/her). SUMMARY:Long Mama w/ Luke Callen\, & Jacob Miller * July 31\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Presale tickets here:   https://www.eventbrite.com/e/long-mama-luke-callen-and-jacob-miller-at-linnemans-tickets-1418009327069?aff=oddtdtcreator \nLong Mama’s music blisters with the heart and grit of someone who has lost hard\, loved harder\, and licked her burns until they stung then silvered. In a drafty attic just west of the Milwaukee River she grew up on\, you’ll find songwriter Kat Wodtke (Wood-key) raking through notebooks in search of a salve: words\, stories\, and sounds to temper the dumpster fires we never mean to light. Flickering behind each song is Wodtke’s lived insight into our human faults & fissures – the moments in life when we can slip and lose our footing\, or claw our way out…better people on the other side of the blaze. \nWodtke coined the name Long Mama (after a prickly\, shade-loving cactus) and teamed up with guitarist Andrew Koenig and drummer Nick Lang\, a pair whose chemistry adds dusky afterglow to Wodtke’s musical landscapes. Upright bass ace Samual Odin came aboard soon after\, along with regular collaborator Eva Nimmer\, whose backing vocals blend so elegantly with Wodtke’s that one could mistake them for blood harmonies. \n \n\nAt the intersection of Harry Smith’s Old Weird America – the songs of heartworn highways – and the tumult of today you can find the music of Luke Callen.  The songs – equal parts tragic comedy and hopeless reverie – paint a picture of the places and people that make up his earthly home.  A poet – a player – a folk singer – Luke has traversed his country unraveling tall tales – short tunes and all that’s hidden underneath. \nOriginally from the river town of La Crosse\, Wisconsin – the heart of the Driftless Region on the Mississippi River – and currently lives in Minneapolis\, Minnesota by way of Colorado\, Luke brings his humble sense of humor and humanity wherever he may go. \n \n\n  \nFirmly rooted in American traditional music\, Jacob Miller’s musical sensibilities remain timeless but challenge the construct of folk\, pop\, and singer-songwriter genres.  \nTouting a resume of extensive touring to national television performances\, he has garnered praise from talents such as James Taylor and Nick Jonas\, with Taylor stating that he believes “Miller has really got something.” These sentiments are echoed by Miller’s followers and supporters.Jacob’s evocative music strives to create a lush landscape for the listener. With a string of singles\, two studio albums – This New Home (2019) and Around My Head (2022) – and an EP of cover songs\, Miller has created a wide library of music over the years. His upcoming album\, Bask in the Wonder\, is set to release in 2025  and features new\, original songs that beautifully build upon his past style\, with engaging lyrics and an uplifting sound. Co-produced by Sam Weber\, Miller’s new album calls out as a beacon to everyone – whether you want something to dance to\, reflect upon\, or to simply be told a story\, Jacob Miller has something for you. \n \n\nDoors at 7pm\, Music at 8pm\, $15 \nPresale tickets here:   https://www.eventbrite.com/e/long-mama-luke-callen-and-jacob-miller-at-linnemans-tickets-1418009327069?aff=oddtdtcreator \n\nFacebook Event Page

SUMMARY:** Postponed ** Warrior Songs Fundraiser w/ Jason Moon\, Jesse Tyler Frewerd\, Frogwater\, and The Mambo Surfers! * July 20\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:This fundraiser has been postponed.  A new date has not yet been established. \n*********************************************************************************************************************************** \n\nJason Moon\, Jesse Tyler Frewerd\, Frogwater\, and The Mambo Surfers all coming together in concert to raise funds for Warrior Songs. \nAbout Warrior Songs Inc. \n\n\n\n\nWarrior Songs Inc. is a non-profit organization that brings hope and healing to veterans through music and the creative arts. Through a variety of programs\, Warrior Songs uses the arts to assist veterans and civilians in better understanding the war experience. \nOur mission is to transform buried experiences and feelings into art that entertains as it educates\, motivates\, and inspires. We believe that helping those who have experienced war to express their struggles deepens their self-awareness and leads to a more purposeful existence. \nProcessing chaos into stories and setting these stories to music\, or expressing them through other media\, fosters communication and helps bridge the gap that often exists between veterans and their loved ones\, and between civilians and veterans. Since war is destructive by its nature\, over time it may diminish the natural human instinct to create and even interfere with the ability to experience hope and joy. Helping veterans turn the destructive force of war into something meaningful and beautiful allows them to reclaim hope and joy as important forces in their lives. \n\nFacebook Event Page:  Warrior Songs Fundraiser Jason Moon\, Jesse Frewerd\, Frogwater\, and The Mambo Surfers | Facebook \n\nDoors at Noon\, Music 1pm\, $5 or a more generous donation of your choice.

SUMMARY:Ladders w/ Caley Conway\, & Valentiger * July 17\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Ladders is a rock band from Milwaukee\, WI!  Every once and a while they have a reunion! \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\nThere are moments in Caley Conway’s Latest album\, Partner…when the ever-busy Milwaukee singer-songwriter finds herself caught in the humdrum duties of daily life. There are things to do—or not—people to see—or not—and the ones and zeros of technology to attend to. And then\, suddenly\, she’s off and dreaming\, belly laughing with a distant friend or considering taking up “the work of birds.” When she comes back down to Earth\, more often than not\, she finds bliss in a comforting middle ground. “There aren’t enough hours in the day\, I’ve counted\,” Conway sings early in the record\, before slyly adding\, “For loving you.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDreams\, and the sometimes lovely\, sometimes painful realities that anchor them\, are subjects Conway knows a thing or two about. The past decade has found her cutting a constant but elusive figure in the Milwaukee music scene and beyond\, sharing local stages with Field Report and Julia Blair\, sharing national stages with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker\, and releasing a steady stream of stellar solo work. \n \n \n\nFrom the Midwestern landscapes of Michigan\, and the vinyl collection of parents’ basements\, are Valentiger. \n \nDoors at 8pm\, Music at 9pm\, $12
