It is a band featuring Dale Crover of the mighty Melvins on drums\, Tony Ash of Trophy Wives\, Dead Halos and Coliseum on bass and the production skills of the iconoclastic and enigmatic Toshi Kasai. The Secret Friends bring forth a wiry and adventurous rock ‘n roll that is equal parts Cheap Trick\, QOTSA\, fugazi\, the Cars\, Black Sabbath and DEVO with perhaps Mean Streets era Van Halen mixed in. Big rock\, heavy\, hooky\, a little strange. You get it. Neutron\, a rock ‘n roll lifer has spent the last 18 years making records and touring in such bands as Replicator\, Victory and Associates and Mount Vicious\, making uncompromising\, sometimes challenging and daring rock music to anybody that is interested. The latest record is the Art of Murder. An 11 song album about Hannibal Lecter and the world around him. The first one is called the Enemy of Everyone. You can definitely buy them both\, and you probably should do so. There will be some records\, some shows\, and with any luck much\, much more to come. DESCRIPTION:Bill Camplin is a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist who began playing professionally in the Milwaukee Area in the late 1960’s. Bill writes and arranges his own material and has produced a considerable body of work. Bill was an integral part of the Milwaukee acoustic folk scene for many years and appeared regularly at various clubs including the Blue River Café\, Numero Unos\, The Crystal Palace\, The Avante Garde and the 19th Street Coffee House. \nBand Members\nJASON KLAGSTAD – Guitars\, backing vocals – Jason is considered one of the top live and studio musicians in the Milwaukee area and has been playing professionally for over 45 years. \nHe has been a member of several area and nationally known bands\, including stints with Howie Epstein (Tom Petty)\, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads)\, Arroyo\, Color Radio\, Warner Bros. recording artist\, Semi-Twang\, Bill Camplin (since 1974) and the local rock band favorite\, Plumb Loco. His distinctive guitar playing style has been featured on many recordings. With Peter Buffet for example\, he recorded film\, tv and recording projects\, appearing on 3 Buffett albums and the soundtrack for the Kevin Costner television special\, 500 Nations. During his performing/recording career\, Jason also ran several area music stores\, including his own – Big Music\, a specialty music instrument store\, until the mid1990’s. \nBOB ‘HOT DOG’ MUELLER – drums\, stoicism – Forty-plus years on the SE Wisconsin music scene. The driving force behind a range of bands spanning Bill Camplin’s Woodbine to virtually every A-list blues combo (Short Stuff\, Billy Flynn\, Raw Rockers\, Leroy Airmaster) and Camplin’s current ensemble. \nPAUL WEHRLEY – Bass guitar – Although Paul played trombone in marching band while in high school\, he did not envision trombone as his musical nexus. A couple of friends needed a bass player and Paul\, always the organizer\, agreed. From 1974 – 1982 Paul co-founded and played with both RIO and Arroyo\, two of the region’s seminal Country Rock bands. His early immersion in that genre provided a deep connection with Bill Camplin’s material. \nAfter his four year stint with Arroyo he became one of region’s top studio engineers\, typically working out of Waukesha’s Breezeway studios producing albums for many regional and national Artists. During this time he also played for many years with local cover rock band\, Plumb Loco. Today\, Paul is a property manager and lives in Elm Grove with his wife Jane.

DESCRIPTION:Coyote is a four piece rock ‘n’ roll band out of southern Wisconsin. After playing music together for over 5 years\, Isaac Young\, Andy Goitia\, and Ed Kosmatka formed Coyote in the summer of 2016 as an evolution of their old project. In September\, Mikey Juszcyk joined the band on bass and was an instant fit. The winter of 2016 has Coyote focusing on the final stages of their debut LP ‘Fool’s Gold’ while also touring their Wisconsin stomping grounds and surrounding Midwestern states. Jack Reed took over on drums in 2017. Their sound is a nostalgic and organic blend of rock\, americana\, funk\, and jazz\, bringing a truly unique experience to every show.

DESCRIPTION:A true chance to catch a rising star\, Hudson Valley based Dylan Doyle has been putting on spellbinding performances nationally as well as internationally. Southern bred\, northern raised\, his trio’s style of music lies somewhere between roots rock and jam funk. It evokes Woodstock but also dips into southern soul. It’s a uniquely American sound Doyle calls “a big melting pot.” After sharing the stage with the young musician in Memphis a few years back\, Ben Cauley\, sole survivor of the Otis Redding plane crash and Co-founder of the Bar-Kays likened Dylan to a young Jimi Hendrix. When asked about the young talent coming up in the Hudson Valley\, Van Morrison guitarist John Platania stated “Dylan Doyle is the future.” Bill Payne of Little Feat described Dylan’s play as “Imaginative and original.” After a performance at the Chicago House of Blues the young musician was informed by a representative of Hollywood Records the Disney owned company is interested and will be tracking his development. After a recent performance at the iconic Levon Helm Studios\, Dylan was approached by James Dolan\, President of Madison Square Garden\, and was solicited to perform at future Garden events. Truly a young man with a bright future\, this is a chance to say\, “I say him when…”

The record features special guests: Janet Schiff from 1913 on cello\, Mike Hoffman on guitar and Susan Nicholson on fiddle. And\, introducing the Theologian Choir. The band has landed in a decidedly more country space while continuing to defy traditional categories. Primary songwriter Fred Ziegler continues to borrow from literature with reckless abandon as he explores themes of God\, debauchery\, childhood\, and humor with equanimity. Fred recorded two albums on major labels\, and charted several hits nationally. He is also President & CEO of Bliffert Lumber Company. Fred has collaborated with\, and had several albums produced by the legendary Al Kooper – co-founder of Blood\, Sweat and Tears and the man who famously created and recorded the organ part on Bob Dylan’s seminal “Like a Rolling Stone.” Backing Fred’s amazingly soulful voice and driving rhythm guitar is a band cast with longtime\, well-known\, skilled Milwaukee veterans!

DESCRIPTION:Dan Rodriguez\, an artist based out of Minneapolis\, MN\, is creating quite a buzz in the Midwest. The groove-based\, bluesy over-toned sound of his music\, mixed with his powerful\, yet seductive voice creates an atmosphere different from other music. It’s refreshing\, tantalizing\, and just plain good! \nOriginally from Detroit\, MI\, Dan moved to Minneapolis in 2004 to pursue music. He started a band with his brother\, Andre Rodriguez\, and called it The Auburns. They played locally for a couple of years and grew together as a band\, as brothers\, and as musicians. \nIn January\, 2008\, Dan started a self-titled solo project in the Twin Cities. Promoting his band as a trio\, Dan started playing venues in the local music scene. As things began to go well\, a greater demand for Dan’s music rose high enough to inspire him to record an album. \nJune 13th\, 2008\, the album Unreal was released in Minneapolis\, followed by a self-titled EP in 2011. His next album\, Roaring Dan\, was released in the Summer of 2013. \nIn September 2014 Budweiser released their “Friends Are Waiting” commercial featuring Dan’s performance of his original song “When You Come Home\,” which was written for the commercial and pitched through Minneapolis based company In The Groove Music. \nThe Summer of 2015 marks the release of Dan’s most prolific\, and widely distributed album “Come on Home\,” featuring the Budweiser song “Friends are Waiting” and singles “Rum River” and “California.” \nDan has since been playing locally and touring throughout the Midwest and beyond\, and sharing the stage with national acts including Grammy award winning duo The Civil Wars\, Pete Francis (Dispatch)\, NeedtoBreathe\, Augustana\, Tyrone Wells\, John McLaughlin\, Andy Grammer and Eric Hutchinson. \n“I’ve been in this business a long time. I recognize when somebody has something real. Dan is a true talent\, and seems to be ushering in a new wave of singer/songwriters around the Twin Cities. DESCRIPTION:Armchair Boogie formed in the heart of Wisconsin in 2014 as a bluegrass duo featuring Augie Dougherty (banjo) and Ben Majeska (guitar). After a handful of shows\, they recruited a well versed rhythm section (bassist Eli Frieders and drummer Denzel Connor) to hold down the upbeat tempos and provide an extra oomph that’ll bring even the saddest uncle to the dance floor. Since then\, they’ve toured consistently around the country playing alongside top notch acts at venerable venues and festivals like Summer Camp Music Festival and Boats & Bluegrass. The sound has a newgrass feel that’s not afraid to delve into the realms of funk or country.
