In 2016\, Tyne Darling will release a new LP entitled\, These Ghosts. Occasionally\, Tyne Darling publishes stories under the name Tom Vollman. He really likes Kurt Vonnegut\, Two Cow Garage\, Tillie Olsen\, Joan Didion\, Tom Colicchio\, Willy Vlautin\, and Albert Camus. \nFor the last 16 years Micah Schnabel has toured the world as one of the main songwriters for the critically acclaimed Columbus\, Ohio based band Two Cow Garage. Micah Schnabel is a beat poet who uses a guitar instead of a typewriter. Schnabel doesn’t just wear his heart on his sleeve. No\, Schnabel put his heart right in front for all to see as a bright red tattoo on his throat. When not touring the world with Two Cow Garage\, Schnabel has been quietly releasing and touring with his solo material over the last 8 years. The lyrical focus and emotional range of Schnabel’s solo work has allowed him to tour with artists ranging all the way from Frank Turner\, Lucero\, and Beach Slang.\n\nVanessa Jean Speckman will open.

And suddenly not only are you alone (surrounded by a lot of guitars)\, but really\, your whole identity is gone and you have to start all over. \nThat’s Reality Something\, and that’s Life Noise. \nDaydream Retrievers is a new project by former The Sleepwalkers frontman Ian Olvera. It has electric guitars\, keyboards\, and is not gluten free. Their sound evokes both rustic afternoons and urban nights where suspenseful storytelling and anxious confessions intersect. DESCRIPTION:Signal Daddy started in April of 2012 as Matt reconnected with Dave and together with Richard\, began to work on what was dubbed “the music project.” Mike would join the group almost immediately and the core members were formed. \nThe final piece were added in late 2015 with the addition of Carson Wolfmeyer on percussion. “We have all spent years playing other’s songs\, and wanted to create our own original blend of music. Since getting together\, we have been writing\, playing\, and recording our original tunes\, and have loved the process.” [Richard]. \nBrothers Mike McGinnis (lead guitar) and Matt McGinnis (lead vocals\, keyboards\, guitar) front the band. Mike’s unique guitar tone was developed over his many years as a professional lead guitarist in bands throughout the Midwest. (Bradley Fish Electric\, The May Band) He brings blues based influences but with the flair of a Gary Moore\, Stevie Ray\, or David Gilmour. \nMatt is a professionally trained actor\, who along with being the lead vocalist\, has also written most of the melodies and lyrics for the songs. His social activism finds its way into many of the compositions\, which defines the songs as much as the sound. \nThe backbone of the band is held by Dave Maurer (bass)\, Carson Wolfmeyer (drums) and Richard Chase (guitar\, mandolin). This group brings significant experience to Signal Daddy\, having played in bands numerous bands in the Milwaukee area music scene. \n\n\n\nMilwaukee rockers Rocket Cat\, and Dear Karma open.

DESCRIPTION:It was in 1957 that The Esquires musical group was formed in Milwaukee. Today the Moorer family is again generating the energy and excitement of the Original Esquires. Johnny Moorer is the leading member of the group performing out today. Their debut record for Bunky/Scepter was “Get on Up”\, (1967) which became a major hit in the United States\, peaking at #11 as a pop single but reaching #3 on the R&B charts. Following the release they played Chicago’s Regal Theater and the Apollo Theatre in New York City. Further singles were also successes\, and the group released one full-length LP. After five singles on Bunky the group signed a deal with Scepter themselves late in 1968. They later returned to Bunky and then\, in 1970\, signed with Capitol Records for one single (“Reach Out”) and Lamarr Records in 1971 for “Girls in the City”. They are a beloved and well known group originally helped formed by Harvey Scales\, and now consist of Rudy Jacobs of The Seven Sounds\, and Johnny Moorer\, the son\, who continues the musical legacy. \nWith special guests Robert Burks & the HTB. \nAdmission for the show is $15 or two for $25! There’s an enchanting quality that pervades the work of this singing and songwriting combo. Their lyrics explore themes of love and desire; understanding oneself and one another beyond surface qualities; and questioning the status quo. With every track\, they’re suggesting we take another\, closer look\, because what we think we see and hear just might deserve inspection. \nAlso joining the bill is Milwaukee’s soulful Cullah & the Comrades\, and Oshkosh’s Horace Greene.

Fred recorded two albums on major labels\, and charted several hits nationally. He is also President & CEO of Bliffert Lumber Company. Fred has collaborated with\, and had several albums produced by the legendary Al Kooper – co-founder of Blood\, Sweat and Tears and the man who famously created and recorded the organ part on Bob Dylan’s seminal “Like a Rolling Stone.” Backing Fred’s amazingly soulful voice and driving rhythm guitar is a band cast with longtime\, well-known\, skilled Milwaukee veterans!

Since forming in the fall of 2011 in Appleton\, WI\, we’ve spent the last five years playing around Wisconsin\, touring the Midwest and East Coast twice\, and even opening for Guster at Indianapolis’s Old Egyptian Room! With a three-piece horn section and an auxiliary percussionist on top of a traditional rock rhythm section\, our sophisticated musicality and not-so-sophisticated humor has been described by Julian Loida of WIUX (Bloomington\, IN) as “the vibe of the B-52s and the Flaming Lips combined with the sound of Phish\, G. Love and Special Sauce\, and New Orleans music.”
