SUMMARY:March 27\, 2020
DESCRIPTION:The “Another One” Grateful Dead Tribute internet stream scheduled for tonight – Friday\, March 27th – has been postponed. On Tuesday 3/24 Governor Evers updated Wisconsin’s “Safe in Place” order to even tighter restrictions to ward off the Pandemic. Because of the new restrictions\, tonight’s internet stream of “Another One” has been postponed! Both the band and Linneman’s felt a 6-person band was now beyond what is allowed under the new restrictions. “Another One” will reschedule as soon as time allows. Sorry to disappoint\, but let’s all stay safe! \nAnother One is a unique and intimate musical experience\, with a Grateful Dead like atmosphere. The group is comprised of talented Milwaukee and Madison musicians\, who came together for their love of the Grateful Dead’s catalog. This group features members of Coyote\, Chicken Wire Empire\, The Jack Reed Group\, Dinosaur Rocket\, and Conscious Congress!

DESCRIPTION:The Mod Violets’ self-titled CD brims with sharp-angled\, guitar-driven melodies and reflective lyrics veiled in an aura of psychedelia. The band name signals an era—could The Mod Violets have been a group from mid-’60s London\, tinted with Edwardian nostalgia? At moments they sort of sound that way. At others\, the precise origins of their music are more allusive. \nThe Mod Violets are a reunion for Mark Lonteen (rhythm guitar\, vocals) and Mike Hartwig (lead guitar\, vocals). After playing together in the ’60s-pop influenced Loons\, they parted ways in the ’90s and eventually went silent. Lonteen and Hartwig regrouped in 2018 to write and record. Their first new song\, “Because She Could\,” is the least characteristic of the album—it could be a lost number from Buddy Holly’s catalogue—but lends a note of contrast to the otherwise yearning harmonies and minor keys. – David Luhrssen \nSilk Torpedo is a trashy glitter proto-punk rock & roll band featuring the work of 1970s artists such as T Rex\, Mott the Hoople\, Bowie\, New York Dolls\, the Stooges\, Aerosmith\, Slade\, Sweet\, and others.

DESCRIPTION:The Tritonics are Jeff Stehr\, Dave Bolyard\, Glenn Asch\, Kyle Seifert\, Mike Lizzo and Peter Roller. They write\, arrange and perform original music written in the Jamaican roots styles of rock steady\, ska and reggae. They also cover crucial standards of those genres by artists like Alton Ellis\, Delroy Wilson\, Toots and the Maytalls\, The Heptones\, Johnny Clarke\, The Valentines and The Jamaicans. In addition\, The Tritonics apply a unique process they’ve dubbed “doowopification” to rock n roll classics by The Beatles\, The Rolling Stones\, The Kinks and many others. Doowopification reinterprets and revitalizes (Ital-izes!) classic rock standards\, anointing them in the name of Jah with stripped down\, Jamaican roots-style arrangements\, one drop-centered rhythm and harmony-heavy vocals. \nThe Tritonics are committed to keeping the citizenry drinking\, dancing and well informed through song. \nDan Schwartz is a Minneapolis musician who makes soulful music on the harp guitar and lap steel.

With no two shows ever the same\, word of mouth has quickly grown a ravenous fanbase eager to hear their favorite studio tracks explored and extended as part of a live community. As seasoned KSC fans can tell you\, any one of their songs could easily turn from a fun sing-along\, into a cacophonous headbanging garage-rock soundscape\, to a Klezmer-disco dance party\, and then resolve into a peaceful ambient meditation that evokes nostalgia of your childhood. \nAveraging over 100 shows per year since 2013\, the band is currently comprised of Louis Smith [Acoustic guitar\, vocals]\, Brian Roy [Bass\, vocals]\, Ryan Wood [Drums]\, Ben Laderberg [Electric guitar]\, and Jake Vanaman [Saxophone]. For such a young band\, their accomplishments are sincere. Kendall Street has performed at festivals such as Lockn’\, Roosterwalk\, Floydfest\, Resonance\, and Domefest and has opened for acts such as Papadosio\, Umphrey’s McGee\, Tauk\, and Leftover Salmon. All the while\, the band has proudly released three records and two EPs. DESCRIPTION:It was in 1957 that The Esquires musical group was formed in Milwaukee. Today the Moorer family is again generating the energy and excitement of the Original Esquires. Johnny Moorer is the leading member of the group performing out today. Their debut record for Bunky/Scepter was “Get on Up”\, (1967) which became a major hit in the United States\, peaking at #11 as a pop single but reaching #3 on the R&B charts. Following the release they played Chicago’s Regal Theater and the Apollo Theatre in New York City. Further singles were also successes\, and the group released one full-length LP. After five singles on Bunky the group signed a deal with Scepter themselves late in 1968. They later returned to Bunky and then\, in 1970\, signed with Capitol Records for one single (“Reach Out”) and Lamarr Records in 1971 for “Girls in the City”. They are a beloved and well known group originally helped formed by Harvey Scales\, and now consist of Rudy Jacobs of The Seven Sounds\, and Johnny Moorer\, the son\, who continues the musical legacy. \nAlso on the bill are Chicago Blues Legend Shorty Mack\, and Milwaukee’s Willie Morrison! \nThe Esquires will be inducted into the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Hall of Fame in April!! \nAdmission for the show is $15 or two for $25! Doors at 7:00pm\, show at 8:00!

With influences ranging from classic country to delta blues her music holds a dark tone and broad vocal range. A voice-full ramblin’ dandy equipped with Southern intent and a boot stomp for a rhythm section\, Rotwell has been pick’n since a young age and has grown into a sound described as country blues. \n———————————————————————————————————- \nMatt Hendricks is keeping the blues alive with his gritty\, heartfelt singing\, old school guitar playing and genuine original songs. He has won the Windy City Blues Challenge in 2009\, and is proud to have won that title again in 2016. Equally at home as a solo performer or with a band\, Matt has always been a fan of the blues. He learned their true meaning when he was killed in a car accident at 27 years old. After being brought back to life in a hospital bed and struggling through a long recovery\, he was able to continue performing and writing songs distinctive to his life’s experiences. Not long after his recovery\, he was asked to open for the great Buddy Guy. After that show he was told to come to Chicago and start playing Buddy’s club. SUMMARY:December 28\, 2019
DESCRIPTION:Hi you guys\, It’s me Noah. I started a foundation called ‘save the forlorn world\n(abbreviated: save the f’n world). I own a local vet clinic and I’m inundated with loving\,\nwell meaning owners who can’t afford the care for their pets so desperately need. I\nprovide the care anyway\, because what of jerk wouldn’t? In an effort to help supplement\nthe cost of this care\, I’ll be playing songs I’ve written over the years and sharing the\nstories of animals we’re helping. Any donation\, even your shiniest penny\, will help. It\ntakes a village. Please come and listen and love it up with other do gooders. No need to\ncontribute financially\, just bring your kind spirit and before long we’ll save the f’n world.\nSend so much love!
