Thank you to everyone who helped pull this event out of its three year hiatus…\nThere were a few things last night I forgot to announce like band name submission deadline and this years special challenge\, so please take a minute and read the details below.\nThere were also a handful of people not at the drawing. If you didn’t get your missing band mate contact info at the drawing\, or if you cannot reach someone (it’s possible I screwed something up too!) please get in touch with me.\nI’ll recap the rules once more here in case anyone needs a refresher…\n♫ There are a total of 14 bands\, consisting of 4 people each. The bands will perform over a two-night showcase at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn on Friday February 17th and Saturday February 18th (7 bands each night). Each band needs to come up with a 15-20 minute set of original music and ONE cover song. The event takes place in a bar\, and is therefore 21+ only.\n♫ Every year has an added stipulation that is like an extra challenge that keeps things fresh. Since it’s been a few year since we’ve done this I wanted to keep it simple and also possibly give people a seed idea for song writing and/or cover choosing. This year’s challenge is that ONE of your songs- it can be an original or your cover- has to PROMINANTLY feature the number of your band. I’m not going to get into semantics about how prominently other than basically – it should be noticeable. If you didn’t see your band number at the drawing\, they will be posted in the rough roster below. If you don’t understand the challenge\, please contact me for more explanation.\n♫ If someone drops out of your band for whatever reason\, do not panic. Think of it as an opportunity to team up with someone who isn’t a quitter\, or if you choose to continue on with just existing members\, a chance to be a trio?\nShould you want a replacement- Contact me\, and I will randomly draw from the reserve list and get you and your new bandmate in touch. Unfortunately\, as of right now there is no reserve list. I’m hoping that changes but for the moment if someone drops- you’re a trio. Think of this as motivation to recruit some reserves and do everything you can to make shit with your existing band mates work.\nYou may not recruit others from outside specifically for your band. You may not swap members with other bands. You may not quit a band and sign up again as a reserve in the same year- you CAN quit come back next year in a band\, and everyone is welcome at the shows always. Also\, if you need to drop out of your band\, please let me and your band know as soon as possible.\n♫ Each band must name itself by Sunday January 1st at 11:59pm. This must come in the form of a Facebook message\, email\, text message\, or written on paper. If you do not submit a name\, I will name your band for you. No amount of begging or excuses will change my mind. By this date\, I also need to know if your band can only play one of the two nights. I’ve got to make the schedule and get posters made\, etc…but I will try my best to accommodate bands with a schedule conflict. I’m juggling 14 bands so please keep show date requests to real conflicts– not just because you don’t want to play a certain night. Once the schedule is made\, I will not change it. There’s plenty of time to plan ahead.\n♫ To keep things running smoothly\, there will be shared equipment on stage each night. After the schedule comes out\, I will begin asking for volunteers who want to offer up their gear. The following will need to be provided:\n– 1 Drum set\n– 2 Guitar amps\n– 1 Bass amp\n– Linneman’s PA system and mics.\nI know not every band fits this exact setup\, but it works for most people. Jim can also run instruments directly through the PA. You should bring your own instrument cables\, pedals\, picks\, drumsticks\, etc.. Jim has Vocal mics for us to use however if you’d like to bring your own feel free. In the past\, depending on who is loaning the drum kit\, drummers have been asked to bring their own cymbals. More on that once the schedule comes out.\n♫ If anyone would like to still sign up on for the reserve list\, WE NEED YOU!!!!! just message me via my Facebook\, the AMU FB page\, or email me (Jess) Olivekroha@gmail.com with your name\, email\, phone number\, vax proof and the name(s) of anyone who you absolutely cannot be in a band with (these requests will be honored and kept confidential).\nALL MESSED UP YEAR 11 ROSTER:\nBand 1:\nAlex Sitze\nJacob Mcelrone\nJacob Otten\nRyan Walkoe\nBand 2:\nMax Hey\nShane Bric\nPaul Taldone\nTyler DuChateau\nBand 3:\nNicholas Gardner\nIan York\nChris Haise\nCasey Nieznanski\nBand 4:\nAlex Klosterman\nZacke Lyons\nDaniel Klebar\nJoe Kirschling\nBand 5:\nBrandon Chapin\nJess Kroha-Anderson\nAvery Luedke\nStephen Carriger\nBand 6:\nRob Anderson\nMick Sweigert\nHarley Jensen\nMaggie Dahlberg\nBand 7:\nRachel Orheim\nJake Wild\nSam Alberts\nJames Mechoir\nBand 8:\nTodd Ciske\nErica Veto\nJustin Engelbart\nDave Lucas\nBand 9:\nJohn Jucemich\nAlex Ogden\nTW Hansen\nGary Struck\nBand 10:\nJoel Kasda\nJasmine Mace\nRyan Claxton\nMax Williamson\nBand 11:\nOwen Goldin\nRobert Sinkey\nBrendan McDonough\nStephen V. DESCRIPTION:Lake Drive EP Release show for “Wordplay.” \nA rising band out of Milwaukee\, WI – Lake Drive continues to reach a growing fanbase with their emotionally compelling catalog & vibrant stage presence. They’re hard workers – focused on the release of their debut EP “Wordplay”. \nTheir music takes inspiration from some of their favorite artists\, creating an incredibly diverse yet pinpointed sound that has been described as: pop rock\, alternative emo\, indie rock. \nBAND MEMBERS: RAYVEN BURDETTE\, BRANDON DETAEGE\, TREVOR GALLAGHER\, & ADAM SECORD \n \n\nOUTDrejas:  Once upon a time\, there was a dude named Dave. Dave played guitar\, butdidn’t have any friends to form a band with. Dave decided to look on Craigslistand found a metal group that needed a bassist. He didn’t know how to playbass\, so he went to Guitar Center\, bought a bass\, and became their newestmember. He soon found himself playing venues and getting to know the folksthat booked the shows. One day\, Dave asked one of these folks if they would book his “other” bandthatplayed rock n’ roll instead of metal. The big secret here though is that Davedidn’t have another band. This is a fancy way of saying that Dave was lying. This particular booking agent booked Dave’s fake “band” (not knowing that itdidn’t actually exist). As crazy as it may sound\, Dave had a month to form arealband. This new band was called OUTDrejas because Dave’s last name is Drejasand he wanted his band to be outrageous. They took that month\, wrote somesongs\, and played that show. And guess what? They rocked! They rocked sohard in fact that they soon found themselves opening for Puddle of Mudd andlater playing at the House of Blues in Chicago!Fast forward to present day and OUTDrejas is now eight years into its rock n’rolljourney. They now have six wonderful members (and now Dave has lots offriends!). They officially have over 1 million YouTube streams and recentlyopened for the Counting Crows in front of 12\,000 people. \n \n\nDoors at 7pm\, show at 8pm\, $8

Doors at 7pm\, Music at 7:30pm \n-JOSEPH HUBER- \n[Americana; Folk; Folk Rock; Singer-songwriter; Alt-Country] \nJoseph Huber – guitar / harmonica / percussion. (previously with .357 String Band) \nEston Bennett – upright bass. (also with the Thrifttones and E.B. Albeit) \nKenny Leiser – fiddle. (also with WheelHouse and Old Soul Society) \n“…It has been said\, “You don’t just like Joseph Huber’s music. You feel it’s something that the rest of the world needs to hear\, and how criminal it is that it isn’t spreading far and wide.” That sentiment could be related to the fact that the voices which Huber unearths are subtle and take more than a hurried listen to truly absorb. A person who appears reserved and matter-of-fact in everyday speech brings forth songs that are anything but that. \nAs the singer\, songwriter\, performer\, recorder and producer of all of his own material\, Huber has his hands full\, but never seems to miss a beat. And his own ‘solo’ material has now certainly surpassed the output of his past efforts\, both in volume and substance. As one of the founding member of the .357 String Band–a group that would probably fit better in today’s ‘Americana-saturated’ environment than in the early to middle aughts–he’s gradually honed a sound that seems to fill a very real gap within the still-emerging genre. Having progressed\, Huber continues moving onward and upward captivating folks with his sincere and well-crafted songs under his own name along with the impeccable musicianship of his fellow touring partners. Whether it’s irresistible\, fiddle-driven\, dancing tunes or honest\, heart-wrenching “songwriter” songs\, Huber’s songs and shows spans the spectrum of ‘Roots’ music while preferring not to stay within the boundaries of any strict genre classification….” \nhttp://www.josephhubermusic.com/bio.html \nhttps://www.facebook.com/josephhubermusicprofile \nhttp://www.josephhubermusic.com/home.html \n \n\n-JAYKE ORVIS- \n[Roots; Gothic/Alt-Country; Bluegrass; Folk; Americana; Blues] \n(previously with Penalty Box\, .357 String Band\, and Jayke Orvis & The Broken Band; currently with Goddamn Gallows) \n“…he effortlessly infuses punk\, rock\, blues\, gypsy\, honky-tonk\, bluegrass\, and old-time to develop a style all his own helping to define the sound of a genre while simultaneously\, and gratifyingly\, making it all that much more difficult to pin a name onto.” \nhttps://www.facebook.com/jayke.orvismusic \n \n\n-POISON HAND- \nMilwaukee Punk Rock \n(Made up of members from Assault and Battery; Convert; Get Rad; Cry Coyote.) DESCRIPTION:Lunar Ticks are an eclectic Improvisational/Alternative Rock band from Chicago\, IL.  \nThe band is influenced by the songwriting and studio experimentation of 90’s and 2000’s innovative Alternative/Indie rock bands like Wilco\, My Morning Jacket\, The Flaming Lips\, Ween\, Yo La Tengo\, Pavement\, and Dr. Dog\, and fuses it with genre-bending\, progressive musicality\, and exploratory improvisations in the vein of The Grateful Dead\, Phish\, and Umphrey’s McGee. \nLunar Ticks are equally at home on a bill with a folk singer\, punk band\, free jazz ensemble\, you name it. Each setlist is formed from their diverse and expansive song list of originals and covers; debuting new material at almost every show. Extended improvisational passages can turn on a dime or meditate and unfurl in unexpected ways. Lunar Ticks aim to create a unique and memorable experience every time they pick up their instruments. \n \n\nKyle John Kenowski is a Milwaukee based musician and animator whose music is best described as “classical psychedelic folk pop”. His music ranges from triumphant to devastating\, from scary to sweet\, decorated with lilting classical guitar passages and a thousand different voices. In November 2020 he released the animated music video TRUSTWORMY which was published by Adult Swim alongside his album NEED DISEASE. \n \nDoors at 8pm\, show at 9pm\, $10

DESCRIPTION:Doors at 6:30p | $12 cash.  Join Wildered\, Zach Pietrini\, and Fressure Point for a can’t-miss night of live music!\n\nWildered brings their full band to Milwaukee for the first time in a blend of folk music and banjos with synths and full band energy. A collective project of artists and musicians from across the US\, spearheaded by singer-songwriter Nate Bjorge. Wildered has released six singles\, is currently promoting their debut album\, and travels the US to share a unique live experience that brings these songs\, as well as a unique digest of covers\, to life. This project was birthed out of a need to express life’s afflicting or ‘wildering’ experiences through honest lyrics and stories\, unique sounds\, and a diverse sonic spectrum. Follow @wilderedmusic everywhere or stream now at linktr.ee/wilderedmusic or wherever you listen \n\nZach Pietrini’s Midwestern\, indie-americana songwriting aesthetic is the sonic embodiment of a well-worn denim jacket. At the forefront of the Americana resurgence\, the band takes its cues from Tom Petty\, Bruce Springsteen\, and David Ramirez\, reinterpreting and rejuvenating American roots styles through a contemporary lens. Pietrini came up on the Chicago music scene before moving to Milwaukee\, where he honed his signature “foot-tapping and pensive steel-guitar-driven” style (Milwaukee Magazine). The band has also toured prolifically throughout the United States\, including opening for Huey Lewis and the News and playing SXSW. Pietrini’s dynamic live performances are intimate\, yet high-energy\, and his laid-back stage presence brings a very Wisconsin sense of genuine friendliness to his shows.\nThe band is touring this fall on its new LP\, Rock & Roll is Dead.\nwww.zachpietrini.com\n\nFressure Point joins the evening’s festivities.\n\nDoors at 6:30pm\, Show at 7:30pm\, $12
