DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxing evening of songs\, stories and (in the case of Ricky) sleevelessness. Joking aside\, this promises to offer something for everyone\, with four original songwriters – Kurt Gunn\, Michael Grabner\, Tyler Sjostrom and Ricky Ganiere – taking the Linneman’s stage.\n$10 cover at the door\, 21+\, doors at 7pm music at 8pm.\n\n\n\nMichael Grabner is an Appleton\, WI based singer/songwriter who blends the intricate finger style guitar and down and out lyrics of Townes Van Zandt with the unique song structure and attention grabbing hooks of Elliot Smith. His unique take on Americana and roots music is informed by a diverse list of influences that range from Radiohead to Hank Williams. Michael recently released his second full length album\, “A Story I Can’t Tell”\, and was a 2023 Wisconsin Area Music Association finalist for singer-songwriter of the year and acoustic guitar player of the year. \n \n\n\n\nTyler Sj. Music:  It’s now or not at all – that was the thinking when Appleton WI acoustic singer/songwriter Tyler Sj. returned to live performing in late 2022 after a number of years away. But it turned out he’d found something to say in the interim. His catchy tellings of modern doubts and difficulties are widely relatable\, while the underlying themes of hopefulness and resilience help to keep the darkness at arm’s length. His debut album\, “Some Things Have Changed Since We Last Spoke\,” will arrive in early 2024. \n \n\n\n\n\n\nRicky Ganiere – “Stoker” has a well-documented life in music packed with albums\, collaborations and awards. But his songwriting focus today is not about what has been – it’s all about what is\, and what’s to come. Looking forward\, Ricky is putting his musical heart into new ideas for everyone ready to listen about – and share in – the happiness\, heartaches and hopefulness that shapes the world today as he sees and feels it. \n \n\n\n\n\n\nKurt Gunn is a pure songwriter\, equally informed and introspective. A talented guitarist and composer\, from a climate that compels musicians to devote compassion to their craft. From solo performer to bandleader\, with a style alternately whimsical and weighted\, added to a library of originals that have earned awards and praise from fans and critics alike\, Kurt Gunn is an artist you can’t ignore. \n \n\n\n\n\n$10 cover at the door\, 21+\, doors at 7pm music at 8pm.

Doors at 6:30\, Music at 7:00pm. \nthe lost one is a song I wrote after several members of my family died in a short period of time. I wanted to express how I felt and being a violinist this translated into music. I brought the song to Anja Elise and together with local Milwaukee musician Dallas Brown a fully instrumented single emerged that explores the emotions of loss and coming to terms with grief. Many thanks to Anja Elise & Dallas Brown whom without lending their talents of performance\, co-writing and countless hours of mixing\, this single would not exist. Also thanks to Craig Freigang for drums\, Ella Freigang for the haunting artwork which graces the cover and Justin Perkins from Mystery Room Mastering.  This is lovingly dedicated to my sister Susan and my lost ones. We hope you enjoy this collaboration! \n \n  \n\nAnja Elise is a Milwaukee-based artist who has been writing music and performing locally since returning to the US after living seven years in Germany and the UK.  Eerie melodies\, extremely personal lyrics\, and unconventional song structures make up her definitive style.  She recently released her debut record titled “Salt & Sugar”.  Anja continues writing and collaborating on projects with other musicians\, including her partner Dallas Brown. \n \n  \n\nBen Harold is a phenominal singer/songwriter who grew up in northern Wisconsin on the small\, blue-collar Washington Island. Inspiration behind the music of Mas Verde ranges from The Cars\, The Beach Boys\, and David Bowie to more modern acts like Mac Demarco and Tame Impala. Mas Verde’s music is a reflection of good times\, falling in and out of love\, and drinking a beer while daydreaming about your life. DESCRIPTION:Born in Birmingham\, Alabama\, JON BYRD lived his formative years in small town America\, deep in the piney woods of south Alabama just one county over from the birthplace of legendary country artist Hank Williams. In the 90s Jon became pivotal in Atlanta’s storied Redneck Underground music scene. Always a featured sideman\, Jon’s first solo recording didn’t come along until after migrating to Music City nearly 20 years ago. Jon’s fourth solo album DIRTY OL’ RIVER harkens back to the first Byrd’s Auto Parts record: up-tempo country songs\, lots of pedal steel\, and some really strong country covers. Jon’s originals “I Get Lost” and “If Texas Is So Great” will be heard for years to come. \nWhen Jon was just eight years old\, his dad was diagnosed with TB and began singing the immortal Jimmie Rogers’ song “TB Blues” all around the house. That same year Jon saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan and his obsession with the musical tension between country and rock ‘n’ roll was born. Less than two years later he was conscripted into the drum corps of his tiny high school’s marching band and played Booker T. and the MG’s “Green Onions” while the majorettes held the cymbals and danced. There was no turning back. \nAfter touring nationally with jangle-pop purists Tim Lee and the Windbreakers\, and Birmingham’s Primitons in the 1980s\, the 1990s saw Byrd attempting a Ph.D. in American Studies at Emory University in Atlanta… all while becoming a central figure in Atlanta’s storied Redneck Underground music scene as lead guitarist for the seminal and legendary country band Slim Chance and the Convicts (Letters to Mama\, 1993\, and Twang Peaks\, 1996). He also formed the hard country band the Ratchet Set as a musical outlet for his love of old trucking songs and two chord honky-tonk gems. \nIn 1998\, after 7 years of teaching and no diss\, Byrd helped country traditionalist Greta Lee record her first full-length record This Ain’t Over Yet. In 2001\, he co-produced and again handled lead guitar duties on Lee’s follow-up You Must Be Present to Win. That same year\, Byrd relocated to Nashville\, Tennessee where he quickly made a name for himself in Music City as a singularly authentic country singer and Telecaster slinger recording with such fine artists as the soulful Davis Raines\, Texas country singer Buck Jones\, folk-rock songwriter Stephen Simmons\, and the rockabilly whirlwind Suzette Lawrence. \n \n\nDoors at 4pm\, music at 5pm\, $10

DESCRIPTION:When singer-songwriter Max Janairo (they/them) performs by themself\, they go by their full first name: Maximiano. For the last year and a half\, Max has been writing and releasing music as part of the local band Crawlspace\, during which time many songs that didn’t fit that group’s aesthetic were stored away. Since the band’s break-up\, these songs have found new life and new meaning. Riding waves of indie folk orchestration\, Maximiano’s plaintive voice conveys the heartbreak\, love\, and growth that continue to define the artist’s musical experiences. In live solo performances\, Maximiano offers an intimate experience\, one that lets the communal love of music overtake and renew the emotion of these songs. \n \n\nRAINBOW COBRA was formed in 2022 by Oli Smith\, Tommy Curtis\, Sam Broadnax and Nikki Abel in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. Drawing inspiration from rock n’ roll\, blues\, folk\, and country music they seek to express the highs and lows of Midwestern and Milwaukee specific living. Oli Smith began writing the songs found on the Falcon Yard EP during the pandemic winter when things were bleak and boring. They look forward to playing shows in Milwaukee while continuing to collaboratively write and record new music. \n \n\nDoors at 7pm\, music at 7:30pm\, $12
