Meisel is a multi-instrumentalist\, educator and composer from Milwaukee Wisconsin.  Ryan grew up outside of Milwaukee and honed his jazz skills under the tutelage of legendary bassist Richard Davis at the University of Wisconsin Madison and master jazz educators Ron Carter and Rodrigo Villanueva at Northern Illinois University. Ryan strives to share music that is original\, unifying among musicians and uplifting for audiences. Hailing from the South\, Celia Meisel is a soulful singer and saxophonist whose blues-infused sound is steeped in story and feeling. \n \n\nSmoke N’ Mirrors:  The band was formed when old friends and former band mates\, Gabe Hammer (organ) and Pete Geraci (saxophone) reconnected in MKE in 2017. The band went through a few configurations before solidifying into the group today. DESCRIPTION:Prolific songwriter Francesca played the Milwaukee area for years solo and as leader of the well-loved “Francesca and the 440 Hum”. \nFrancesca and guitarist Tom Plutshack were casually acquainted from the local music scene and when she booked a one-off show at Milwaukee’s long-running The Coffee House\, she asked Tom for help in putting a set together. \nDespite a difference in background (and maybe personality) the pieces fit together awfully well.  The one-off turned into the duo Francesca & Tom playing around town for couple years. \nFrancesca started wanting to bring up the energy and sound of their project and make it noisy and rude enough to fit comfortably into the rowdy bars where she felt most at home. [Ed.: Just kidding Frannie] \nTom turned to a couple skilled players he knew from earlier adventures in the cover band scene\, drummer Mike Farrow and bassist/multi-instrumentalist Larry Koehn. Some things happened\, An EP was Digitally released\, and a full-length CD “Hatch” was physically released. They are still a band today. \n \n\nFormed by guitarist\, Chris White and vocalist\, Shadoe Costa in the latter of 2008\, The Daisy Pushers are an eclectic mix of hard rocking riffs with a psychobilly twang and a Waitsy-Alice in Chains influenced melody. DESCRIPTION:Drive-a-tron is an indie-rock/dance band mixing together heavy grooves\, unexpected harmonies\, pulsing keyboards\, and poly-rhythmic lyrics as ingredients in a joyous musical burrito. Lightweight and easy to pack\, Drive-a-tron is typically run by one person (Paul Vash – Madison\, WI) who writes the songs\, plays the instruments\, makes the videos\, and changes the oil. \nDancing\, sweating\, and joy are the goals of Drive-a-tron\, but a closer look at the song lyrics may surprise you with stories of complex characters and situations. The excitement of the music comes through on stage with Paul performing on different instruments\, often with synced videos and friends\, and encouraging audience members to join in. Everyone who attends a Drive-a-tron show is invited to be “in the band”. \n \n\n“Down-the-street Milwaukee neighbors” Tad Jameyfield and John Doyle\, whose affinity for experimental pop became the common ground on which they built their Creature Weather project. Jameyfield’s affection for ’60s bands like The Zombies and The Buckinghams is all over their music.
