  • Theatre/Music Tribute to Sam Shepard

Catch this propulsive 2-person adaptation of Fool for Love, Sam Shepard’s most riveting play (1983 Obie winner, best new American play). The story of sparring star-crossed lovers – May & Eddie –  a southern spitfire and a brash cowboy who share a mysterious connection – is one of the most compelling, passionate dramas you’ll ever witness! Plus enjoy a set of “songs of foolish love” performed live by the cast! featuring Chicago actors Amee Binder and Paul McComas.

The 70-minute performance in this, the Diamond-Jubilee (75th anniversary) Year of late playwright/actor Sam Shepard’s birth, offers a rare chance to experience his edgy, award-winning one-act Fool for Love, plus live music. It is recommended for ages 13 through adult.

All proceeds from the $5 admission benefit two local nonprofits: The Alma Center (healing and transforming lives impacted by violence and trauma) and Marquette University’s Center for Peacemaking (resolving conflict and affecting social justice, locally and internationally). Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm.
