Sleepersound is cinematic indie post rock incorporating influences from experimental electronic music, 20th-century classical music, soul, krautrock, and jazz. Fundamental to the band is the authentic and untouched aspect of performance: what you hear on a Sleepersound track is a live performance. Layers of simple texture revealed through tactical demonstration. Sometimes serene and chiming, other times thunderous or melancholy. Manipulated through action and reaction as an organic act of composition. What began as Sleeper, born from multi-instrumentalist and vocalist David D’Antonio, was initially a lower-key, solo acoustic/electronic project. A geographic move spurred new collaborations that resulted in the new aural fireworks and the formation of Sleepersound.

Not a straight ahead rock band, nor folk, jazz, ambient or electronic, Sleepersound encompasses all of these to create an expansive musical palette brought to life by D’Antonio alongside an exclusive cast, each experienced musical collaborators in their own right.
